Color: Dark purple, some bricking on edge. Nose: Dark fruit, plums, blackberries, some dust and barnyard Taste: Blackberries and tart dark cherries dominate. Mouthfeel: good balance, tannins largely resolved. Overall: This wine was pretty good, but didnt knock my socks off. It was probably a bit muted due to age. OK, but nothing to write home about.

I really liked this wine. Color: pale yellow. Clear and clean. Nose: blue stone, grass, melon and lemon. Taste: gobs of melon and lemon with grapefruit. Slight sweet honey in there as well. Great acidity and mouthfeel. Crisp, but very easy drinking. Overall: again, I just really liked this one. It was different. Sort of a step between chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. Very interesting. Would definitely seek out again.

Same notes as before - Wow. "Up front" is an understatement. This one packs a punch. Pucker factor is very high. That said, there is a load of black fruit and berry flavors. I decanted this for a day at the recommendation of a friend (tommers207) and things settled down quite a bit. Much smoother. Post decant, this one was much more enjoyable. Overall impressions of this dark, dark wine included dark berries, pepper and gobs of tannin. Once it settled down, I liked it - but that did take a while. Drank over 3 days.

Same notes as last time- slightly lower score. Dark, clear inky purple color, tight nose that truthfully didn't suggest any particular flavor profile. (But my sense of smell isn't that great to begin with.) Medium bodied mouth feel suggesting a not-very-tannic merlot. Surprisingly smooth for such a young wine with little "bite" on the pallate. Good fruit flavor including plum, dark cherry and blackberries. Had a good long finish that was didn't turn harsh or off-balance. Overall, a pretty good daily driker that I would seek out again. Thank goodness for the BevMo $0.05 sale for the opportunity to find pleasant opportunities like this one.

Color: Dark ruby red. Nose: Gobs of blackberry and pepper. Taste: blackberries, plums and chocolate with some dust. Mouthfeel: Smooth and resolved tannin. Good acidity. 20-30 second finish of blackberry and pepper. Overall - this was OK, but Malbac isnt quite my "favorite" varietal..

Wow. This wine blew me away. Perfectly matched for my pallate at only $20. A huge deal. I will definitely pick up more when I visit the winery again. Nose/Taste: Tobacco, dark fruit, and spice wrapped around awesome blackberries and plums. Mouthfeel: Awesome body. Medium weighted and silky. Solid tannic structure that was not overpowerinly bitter. Finish was long 30+ seconds and very pleasing. As I said at the beginning - wow. I really liked this wine.

Wonderful. Fruit forward with hints of oak/vanilla. But NOT overpowering in any way. The fruit shined through in a big way. Pear, pineapple, and apricot wrapped in vanilla. Smooth with perfect acid balance. Awesome. Seek out.

Glorious. Simply glorious. This one knocked my socks off. I'veb been saving this one for years, and the time seemed right last week. Beautiful bordeaux type wine with gobs of tobacco, and cedar wrapped around awesome black fruits. Tannins still have some grip but are fully resolved. Awesome. Smooth and velvety. This is the best bottle of wine I;ve had to date. Grateful to have another in the cellar.

Mouthfeel: Glorious meduim body with wholly resolved tannins left a fully integrated wine with excellent balance. Definitely has aged well ans showing very nicely. Don't wait - strike now if you've got this one. Overall: I really enjoyed this wine and would definitley seek out again. 94 was a great vintage and I have yet to find a loser in this group.

Color: deep purple, clear and clean. Nose: Barnyard, dirt, plum and blackberries on the nose. Heavy "earthy" feel. Taste: leather, plum, black fruit, dirt. Flavor profile was close to nose on the attack, but the transition to the back end was disjointed and sharp. It just felt like things started out nice, then went terribly wrong. The transition softened over day 2 and 3 drinking. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied. Overall - this wine was "OK" but the disjointed transitions left me tasting more alcohol than anything else on the finish. Not pleasant. Definitely improved with time. An OK effort - but I would not seek out.

Color: clear medium-weight ruby. Nose: deep with red and black fruit and some dirt/oak. Strawberries, cherries and raspberry really came through for me on the nose. Taste: Red fruit fest. Very in your face, but not overwhelming or obnoxious. Really quite nice. Mouthfeel: meduim bodied, velvet and jam feeling. Short transitions and finish, but that was OK with me. Color: Dark purple. Nose: Chocolate, cedar, licorice and smoke/oak shining through with reckless abandon. (I'm worried already...) Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, with soft tannins and low acidity. Taste: Dark fruit up front in a big way - blackberries and plum coem to mind. And, lets not forget the WOOD. Holy cow. This one was way overoaked for me too. Overall: If you can stand the oak, this is a decent everyday drinker. But in my view, the Tin Roof Merlot is cheaper and better. I would proabably pass by in the future.

Drank over 3 days. Nose: Pepper, spice, tobacco, dark fruits, cedar. Taste: Plum, blackerry, oak, leather and earth. Mouthfeel: Velvet, with awesome balance. Firmly and totally resolved and integrated. Simply a wonderful and enjoyable wine. Overall: The cork was in terrible shape and virtually disentgrated on opening. As others have noted, despite the poor cork conditionh, there was no trouble inside. Alcohol was virtually undetectible. This was an awesome bottle that I totally enjoyed. Ourstanding. Wonderful. Color: clear, pale yellow. Nose: lemon and pear fruit with a hint of floral components as well. Taste: melons, pear, vanilla, cream and butter. If you don’t like oak/cream, pass this one by. I personally enjoy “creamy” chardonnay, so this was a nice match for my taste. Mouthfeel: medium bodied wine with little acidity. Overall: I was expecting more, given the way this was hyped by the wino at my local Costco, but it was OK overall. Just OK. Nothing spectacular, but pleasing.

Nose: Gobs of peach, citrus and vanilla - a really nice nose. Noticed quite a bit of "minerality" in the nose as well, sort of "chalk" like. Taste: Peach, apricot and vanilla. Mouthfeel: Smooth and creamy, easy drinking with just theh right balance of acidity. Good transition front to back with medium weighted mouthfeel. Overall: Very nice for $15 - I'd definitely drink again.

Color: Crystal clean garnet. Nose: Gobs of black fruit with a bit of spice, leather wood and dirt thrown in for good measure. Taste: Black fruit heavy with plum and blackberry with a hint of tart cherry in there somewhere. Fruit was more subtle than I was expecting from the nose. Mouthfeel: A light touch and grip...very resolved and easy drinking Well resolved with a clean attack, rounded fruit middle and a nice finish with a touch of tartness on the backend. Overall: Very nicely done Julie! For an "everday" drinking N.V. wine all I can say is - wow. I can't wait to open "the good stuff." Good luck finding this one out there - I was lucky.

OK - this one fit nicely into my preferred flavor profile for Chardonnay: creamy, floral and citrusy (not a word, but you get the idea). Nose was of honey, apricot and vanilla. This was a medium-to-full bodied wine that was easy drinking and not terribly acidic. Good mouthfeel and great flavor profile. Good one in my book.

Poured through Vinturi into glass and left alone for about an hour. One word - great. I really enjoyed this wine. Picked up at Costco on a whim. Purple color that was surprisingly light. Nose: raisins, plum, blackberry and meat. Mouthfeel was fantastic - smooth and well integrated. Taste: blackberries, dark cherry, raisins, earth, and...meat. (Sausage???) This was a great surprise from a value big-box shop.

Has held up nicely. Color: crystal clear light straw. Beautiful. Nose: lemons, green apples and clover (?) with some petrol whiffs in there. That's the best I can surmise. Taste: Huge up-front lemons and green apples with a splash of pineapple. Really crisp ans light. Acidity was firm but not "cutting" too deply - good mouthfeel. Overall: I really enjoyed this wine - which is saying a lot since I prefer reds and when I ventrue into whites I usually go for the chardonnay grape. Very nice and refreshing. This would have been perfect on a hot summer day. (But nice on a brisk spring day as well...)

Color: Dark purple Taste: dark chockolate covered cherries, white pepper, and dirt. Mouthfeel: Smooth, easy drinking and not overly tannic. Overall: I'm not really sure how to describe my reaction tot heis wine. The fruit was definitley "forward" and bordered on being over the top. But, despite the initial "uncomortable" attack of fruit, it mellowed out and "felt" really nice in my mouth. I liked this wine, but it didn't send me over the edge of the cliff.

One word: Excellent. Wow - this one was special and did not dissapoint. I decanted this for about 1 hour before drinking. (Glad I did...) Color: deep, dark purple. Nose: boatloads of plum, blackberry and leather. Smelled like a bunch of black fruit sitting in old baseball gloves. (But it was good somehow...) Taste: Dirt, dark fruits, leather and cedar. Aftertastes did "heat up" with some pepper afterhoughts... Mouthfeel: silkly, smooth and beautiful. Awesome. If you've got this one - drink up and you won't be dissapointed. I really liked this wine a lot and wish I had more. Definitely seek this one out.
