Drank right out of the bottle with beef tacos. Beautiful Merlot from the right bank with no need to wait any longer: this is how it should be. Initial traces of maturity, a little bit of Kirschschnaps, slightly brownish/ orange color (does look older than 10 years). Charming in the nose; christmasy, Lebkuchen, spices, chili, black cherries, Rumtopf (yet elegant). Extremely yummy on the palate (some coolness), medium finish. If you ever wanna taste the essence of Pomerol- this Gazin is pretty close I guess.

Quite drinkable, a decent wine but slightly too sweet and too oaky, just lacks elegance and some sparkle.

Good wine with a pleasing nose, but not 100% my cup of tea. Too much of everything, a bit porn star of Cab Franc. Plenty of blackberry, Marmelade, vanilla/barrique, darkness and boldness. Rather short finish, lack of elegance and complexity. Have a glass? Sure! Have another one? Not really.

Easy drinking cab. Surprisingly little sweetness, some acidity left. Plenty of vanilla/barique and oak flavors. Lacks complexity for 90+, but a nice crowd pleaser.

Slightly disappointing, already golden color for such a young wine. Super austere, lacks complexity and not really easy drinking. Maybe not the best bottle.

Much better impression than last time. Still quite aromatic; herbs and limestone.

Awesome, rather dark red in color with little signs of maturity. Some pleasant tannins left. Very spicy curry nose; ripe plum, roast, vanilla, cloves, dark chocolate. Great yummy finish! No need to wait!

Incredible fruity, plenty of Lebkuchen, rather dark than red berries.

Good and yummy US style Chardonnay. Some popcorn, oak and lemon crest, slightly creamy. Not over fat, but obviously lacking some elegance and complexity. Price point questionable , yet easy going and very enjoyable. Decent amount of acidity, not sweet and ‘over the top’.

Incredibly easy drinking! Great with Korean fish soup. Not as dry as indicated on the label.

Slightly too fruity and already some signs of maturity, plenty of herbs and spices , but overall lack of complexity ; too 1 dimensional and not really elegant. Aroma of ripe strawberries , mint (chocolate), dark cherries and prunes.

Medium red color. Initial smell of alcohol /Schnaps, some Barrique and cranberries ; more red than black fruit. Palate Napa typical in that price range too sweet, but not as bad as expected. Mediocre finish. In general Okayish wine for everyday. Lacks style and complexity.

Very convincing Napa cab! On the elegant side with surprisingly little fruit/sugar, black currant, mint, cherry, cocos and plenty (but not too much) wood/vanilla. Finish okay, not overwhelming. Good value for money for a Napa red.

Very nice light color, slightly brownish at the outside. Nose was non existent for the first 30 minutes , but then something finally happened: pickled strawberries, vanilla, some acidity. Overall not overwhelming. Nicer at the palate and Okayish finish. For me a wine not to think about much but just drink and forget.

Nice Chardonnay, surprisingly fresh and even masculine to some degree with plenty of quince, acidity, orange crest and some fresh pineapple. Pleasant Barrique/ vanilla notes, not overshooting. Even a bit bitter at the end. It might lack some power/pressure, but that’s not necessarily bad here.

Drinkable and also enjoyable wine, but nothing great. Overall lack of complexity and finesse. Reminded me a lot of entry level rioja with plenty of wood and vanilla flavor. Also slightly too much dark berry marmalade notes and too sweet for my personal taste. 1 or 2 glasses are fine, but then you feel stuffed and urge for some more freshness. Maybe that boldness goes away in a couple of years, but I will never know….

Not so sure about this one; nice wine but probably overpriced. Medium to dark red in color. Pretty bold nose with even some sizzling nose, a bit like Brausepulver and too much vanilla, coming from Barrique. More aromas of blackthorn, black cherries, leather and dark chocolate. Slightly too much sweetness on the palate for me; decent not long finish.

Not a bad wine. Initial thought: brunello di montalcino? Clear signs of maturity, brownish border. Palate: plenty of coffee/espresso, ripe strawberries, black cherries, leather, slightly too much acidity and tannins (or alcohol?), some Mediterranean herbs (thyme?). Decent mouth and finish, but somehow not perfectly balanced for me. Not sure if this is supposed to be an elegant or a big wine. Do one want another bottle?

Not much to add to my last note: beautiful left bank Bordeaux with very masculine character; 2005 seemed to have reached its peak here (at least here). Nice blackberry, black cherry and currant aromas. Some acidity left, in a good way. Also mind and Ice confection and dark black chocolate. Not too complex, yet nice finish.

Don’t fully understand the very critical remarks here. It’s a nice drinking cab, at least for a European palate. Pleasing tannins , lots of dark fruit w/o being to sweet/fruity . Also plenty of barrique flavours like vanilla and oak. Medium finish

Decent, a bit too much fruit juice for me. Plenty of cigar box and dark berries jam. Slightly one dimensional. Leaves me puzzled.

Very enjoyable , maybe even too enjoyable (it might lack complexity and was too much into one direction). A Bordeaux blend on the fruity side, but in a good way : lots of black berries, cherry, dried plums. Also some typical cigar box flavor and medium oak and vanilla. Strong tannin skeleton that allows for many years to come!!

Actually much better than expected ! Surely no multi dimensional complex burgundy kinda guy, but really easy drinking! Not over the top, not too sweet/fruity . Nice buttery and lemon flavor , some oak. Good bang for the little bucks!

Okay Pinot for the price; decent acidity and not too sweet (well, slightly). Lots of vanilla/oak and ripe strawberries in the nose, also blood and iron. A little bit too alcoholic and one-dimensional. Medium bodied with yummy finish - had worse for more money

Great PN, also for the price tag and the region . Light red color, looks already a bit matured (in a good way). Very sexy nose, bit of oak and ripe strawberries and black cherries w/o bring over the top. More European style PN maybe. Moderate finish; from my point of view one of the better new world PN.

Okayish Pinot, slightly too sweet. Cherry flavors, some blood and iron, lots of plum and cranberry juice. More like a children’s drink with alcohol. Lacks finesse. Decent but very sweet finish.

Decent cab, that is pleasantly dry. Dark color with Strong dark berries flavor . However, a bit one dimensional and the wood/oak is just too present: vanilla, powdered sugar, and burnt caramel all over the place. Good value for money for the US, but not a must buy either.

Simply overwhelming; super strong palate, tons of honey yet a dry wine with lemon cest/ well structured acidity. Peaches and pineapple all over the place, Long Finish. Again, no easy drinking, but a powerful white wine that can take a strong dish and last for many more years. Next bottle in 2 years!
