The last 06 I have. This is still drinking really well. Well balanced fruity WV pinot, a great way to end the week. I wish I were pairing this with food! After a week of cabs and bordeaux blends, this is a refreshing lighter body alternative.

Viscous, sweet and delicious. Paired with our favorite local thai (not perfect but very nice). Loved the rich amber color.

Not a very exciting Burgundy - I expected much more from this wine. Another holiday disappointment, paired with honey-brined center-cut pork chops and sage pepper bacon roasted butternut squash. Oh well... the rest of the bottle is now marinating some Coq au Vin for tomorrow!

At first we thought it was corked but there was very little flavor complexity and it did not improve over the evening. So sad, as I was excited to drink this with my Xmas eve roast! Very thin and not much character.

Gorgeous rich nose, strong finish. Paired with braised short ribs and porterhouse at Alexanders Cupertino, CA. Spectacular tannins. Very memorable.

Drank at Garcon in San Fran (Mission). Bottle drank beautifully - we only wish we had double decanted instead of relying on the server and enough time at the table. The wine was extremely expressive and fruit-forward, and continued to open up throughout the meal. Average finish was 20 to 30 seconds. Didn't pair particularly well with the grilled NY steak and pepper sauce but went beautifully with a plate of Duck Confit and the Frisse Au Lardons.

Drank at Medjool in San Francisco's mission district. Wonderful pairing with mediateranean foods (north african, turkish, southern french/italian).

Yes, everything Mark said and then some. Awesome wine! A very "comfortable" amount of body and flavor for a mid-January evening

Succulent. If you like the wines of Au Bon Climat/Jim Clenenden, you will love the MWC Pinot (which he is also winemaker for). Fantastic Pinot for under $20. My wife's new favorite.

WOW! Awesome, awesome Spanish red for $22. I think I bought it at COSTCO. Anyway, I was thinking it was some cheap $8 Trader Joes wine so I popped it open with a sausage, pepperoni and garlic pizza. It was amazing - nice full body, rich fruit, strong tannins. I am looking for more right now...

Almost a month ago now but this remains my favorite Central Coast Pinor alongside the Sanford Pinot from S&B vineyard. Elegant, fruit forward and extremely well balanced.

Absolutely delicious! We drank this when camping on our first year anniversary after it chilled in the stream. My favorite champagne to date.

Still drinking great. Served with cheesecake and blueberry sauce after a night of food and white wine (mostly French) pairing.

Served with triple-creme brie and sun-dried tomatoes. Slightly sweet and crisp wine. Tremendous value for $7 at Trader Joes.

Not impressed. Maybe a bad bottle. I was told that the wine came from 100 year old vines in Chateauneuf, which was a good deal for $20.

I was disappointed with this Merlot, although I loved it at a tasting in Palm Springs. Now that I think back, it was better the day after.

Beautiful and smooth Burgundian red. Floral, spicy nose with rich fruit flavors and a slightly tart (and full) finish. This generic red Burgundy comes from vineyards throghout the Cote d'Or, and is very expressive of the many styles of these northern appelations. The fruitiness was more pronounced when the wine was first chilled and served, although the fruit flavors and tannins opened up as the wine came back to room temperature. Served with grilled, spice-rubbed chicken, mixed greens and fire-roasted corn - a pleasant pairing. Would highly recommend as an inexpensive ($20) red burgundy. The 2002 will probably be even better.

Dark, concentrated gold color. Lots of minerals and fresh fruit but not overly fruity. Well balanced, very crisp and clean with a pronounced finish. Nice taste of the Mâconnais!

Nice smokey nose with a rusty pink color. A medium-bodied elegant blend with lots of fruit (cherry) and herbs. Served with spicy grilled foods and vegetables. Everyone loved it.

Tar, molasses and black licorice. The tannins were overwhelming, even after 5 years of bottle age. Needs more rest. Should be a great wine by the end of the decade.

I can certainly respect what he is doing here with the Gamay varietal but it's just not my cup of tea (nor glass of wine for that matter). I am glad that the other person really enjoyed it. I would certainly recommend it over many other Bojos I have tasted. http://www.marcel-lapierre.com/

Beautiful white gold color and gorgeous floral nose with notes of lychee, bitter citrus, green apples and peach. Well balanced sweetness and acidity with only 13% alcohol.

Nice ruby color fading to rose. A nose of tart cherries, raspberries and oak/vanilla. The flavor was earthy and dusty with strong fruit and mushroom components. Needs some more bottle aging. The 99 vintage was rated 93 points by Parker yet he did not review the 2000 vintage for some reason. It felt as if the wine was not opening up fully.

CORKED. Too bad too, because I had prepared some grilled hot italian sausages with a roasted bell pepper spread and grilled onions and red peppers.

My wife and I opened a young Matriarch from BOND (Harlan team) over dinner at Lucques in West Hollywood. 45 minutes decantering at the table was not nearly enough time as the wine was just waking up. Our first tastes were alongside a plate of roasted duck breast, herbs and orange reduction. This did not pair too well with the wine. Our second course of braised shortribs was more harmonious and the wine began to reveal notes of espresso and small berries; greatly complimented the dark and rich flavor profile of the beef. We should have brought a Central Coast Pinot or Red Burgundy for the first course and saved the BOND for the second course but then neither of us would have been able to drive home.

Most likely blended with a bit of Viognier (4-5% according to RP). I could certainly taste the spiciness and dark fruit that I enjoy with Syrah. Medium to full bodied and full of contrasting yet harmonious flavors. Looking forward to drinking it again.

The appearance is pale yellow and slightly fizzy (spumante). The fruity and floral bouquet is followed by intense citrus flavors of orange and tangerines, and becomes creamier and sweeter over time. Great body and finish for a dessert wine.

A few desserts which seem appropriate for this particular wine would be a fresh fruit parfait with sabayon or even an Italian zabaglione, or a sampling of chocolate truffles and petit fours. A chocolate cake or soufflé would seem to overpower the delicateness of this wine. Even a fresh fruit tart or poached pear would pair nicely, providing many complimentary fruit flavors. (from my paper on Dessert Wines)

Paired with Mussels and Clams Mariniere. Beautiful wine - a nice elegant white Burgundy. Don't recall specifics now as I drank it a week ago. Will be buying a few more bottles this weekend. (upped to 91)
