Very deep red in colour and clear with a nose of dark berries, this wine showed exceptionally well tonight. Nuanced flavours of blueberries and a hint of spices. The tannins were there as was the acidity but this wine continues to be more like a Bordeaux wine than an in your face Napa wine. This will still age for quite a while in my opinion and it showed so much better than my last bottle.

Deep gold in colour and clear. This wine had a strong nose and flavours of caramel and honey. In the glass were also apricots. This wine was quite crisp with quite a bit of acidity. This bottle appears to be getting better with some age and it showed as the best bottle of the few that I have tasted.

This deep red and clear wine was poured at home without decanting. It had a nose of ripe cherries mixed with a noticeable amount of dark spices. In the glass were flavours of these same rip cherries mixed with ground spices and some oak. I also got some leafy flavours as well as some steak.

This was my first time having this wine and I was very much impressed. Clear and lighter burgundy red in colour with a nose of ripe cherries and ground spices. In the glass were flavours of candied cherries and some blueberries. The tannins were quite light and the acidity was at a mid level. This wine had quite a long finish for each sip. The bottle did not last long!

This was clear and deep red in colour with a nose of dark berries and some bacon. In the glass were those same flavours mixed with a surprisingly strong amount of pepper. The tannins and acidity were both noticable but in very balanced levels with the wine. I would never have known that this is almost 16% alcohol.

Clear and deep purple in colour with tons of vanilla on the nose. Other bouquets picked up were chocolate and some lemons. In the glass were flavours of dark berries and chocolate. This is quite a viscous wine and it had mid level tannins and acidity. These are always very unique wines!

This clear wine was opened at home. It was mid deep garnet red in colour with a nose of ripe red cherries, some white pepper and a bit of bandaids. In the glass were flavours of red cherries and quite a noticeable amount of chocolate. These was a slight sourness to the wine. The tannins on this were very strong while the acidity was high. Give these some more time before opening.

Garnet red in colour. This clear wine had a nose of ripe cherries and some pepper. In the glass we flavours of those ripe cherries, plums, and some roasted peppers. The acidity was strong while the tannins were incredibly strong. I hope these will settle down over time. The flavours in this were lovely but the balance was thrown off by the tannin levels.

This clear and deep red wine was drank after opening for an hour. It had a nose and flavours of dark cherries, some strawberries and a bit of tobacco. In each sip was also a surprising amount of pepper that actually added to the enjoyment of this wine. The tannins and acidity were quite strong but you would never know that this wine was over 16% alcohol.

Finally, each sip of this had an exceptionally long finish!

This very slightly cloudy wine was rust orange in colour and had an unusual (for this wine) nose of wax, smoke and some babd-aids. In the glass were flavours of apricots and honey. The finish tailed off quite quickly on this today. I do love these wines but this bottle has showed better in past tastings.

In the glass were those same ripe cherries alongside white pepper and some vegetal notes. The tannins and acidity were not heavy at all in very balanced. You would never know that this wine is almost 16% in alcohol. One of my wines of the year so far.

This clear and surprisingly quite dark granite red wine was drank at home. With a nose mostly of dark cherries and ground spices there was a slight funkiness to it upon opening. In the glass were flavours of red cherries and a lovely muted amount of oak. The tannins were quite strong but balanced nicely with a mid level of acidity. There was a long finish to each sip.

Wow, this wine was fantastic tonight. Very deep purple in colour with a nose of cherries and red berries. The wine was clear and had subdued flavours of ripe red cherries and some caramel. The tannins and acidity were perfectly balanced and the wine did not feel at all like a 15.7 % alcohol bottle. Everything was in perfect balance and this was right up there as a wine of the year candidate for me.

In the glass was a very young wine with flavour of dark berries and some tobacco. The acidity and tannins were both at lovely balanced levels. Although this wine has a ton of years ahead of it, tonight it showed very well.

Sunday afternoon and evening drinking begins with this clear and deep gold in colour wine. The nose is dominated by apricots and has some honey and wax notes as well. In the glass is a lovely wine with all those same flavours noted above. It is a tiny bit light on the finish but I taste no sourness on this bottle that I have had in the past with these bottles. This is very, very good.

This moderately deep gold in colour wine was drank at home. It was clear and had a citrusy nose that was mostly of lemons. There was also a slight bit of "funk" when first opened. In the glass was a slightly hot wine with flavours of overripe grapes, maple, and toast. The wine was consistently a bit sour for my liking. Not a bad wine for a first vintage but I will compare it to a later bottle down the road.
