Nice but very austere in both the nose and the mouth. Mostly pencil savings, subtle black plum and drier herbs with hints of green chili and floor wax. Medium full body with OK acid and firm tannin.

Good, but I expected more. Ready.

What a marvellous bottle of wine,stored since release in a great natural cellar.It is more Bordeaux than California.Attractive and complex nose of mature dark fruits,plum liqueur and with classic Bordeaux overtones of cedar,leather and tobacco.On the palate it is very smooth,elegant,complex,long and well structured.Could drink this for ever.Most amazing bottle of old California wine I have tasted.
