This wine is very big and bold just like you would expect from a Petit Verdot. Color is impenetrable purple ink. I often find single blend petit verdot to be a challenge to pair with any food. Overall well made though.

Unfortunately had some slight cork taint. On the palate still showed good depth with dark fruit, cedar, and good length. The nose was the only deficiency.

The initial aroma was of dust and earth. The wine showed wonderful depth and complexity. Good dark fruit with hints of dark chocolate, and a complete mouth coating experience.

this was a delicious Village wine. Good verve and lively the front & middle palate. Fresh raspberry and red cherry fruit with some wild red fruit. A great summer wine at a cookout with friends.

This drank much better than the 1997 vintage normally produced. Showing secondary flavor profile with forest floor and mushroom aromas. medium to dark red color with good structure and weight on the palate. Medium to Longer finish. Dark fruit and strawberry flavors.

Drank with friends and this was beautiful. Light yellow color with full round feel and long finish on palate. Just the right amount of acidity with right amount of crisp structure. Citrus, light apricot and multi layered flavors. A hit with the group.

Drank at the Charleston Grill in South Carolina. Color was pale red but wine was clear with very little sediment. Initially out of the bottle and direct from the cellar the aroma was medium with nice floral tones. The wine showed immediate depth but was tart and short to the finish. This resolved itself after one hour. The wine has some spice, dark cherry, and displayed perfect integration. The mouth feel was very light to medium yet the flavor persisted longer than I expected. A wonderful Clos Vougeot.

Based on the age this bottle showed superbly. The aroma was like being in the fermentation room of the vignerons. It was a wonderful fresh aroma The wine displayed bright and light cherry with other fresh berries. The wine showed good to great length. Color was light red.

Drank at Tartine Bistro. Needed to open up. Finish was very short initially then lengthed after an hour. Dark cherry wth cassis, leather, some blackberry. Medium aroma. A good wine that went well with duck confit. Recommend 5 more years before drinking.

Drank it at La Coupole in Paris. The wine showed St. Julien characteristics of silkiness and finesse from beginning to mid palate but then had a shorter finish with slight unbalanced finish. It was still a lovely wine showing aromatic scents of lush dark berries, tanned leather some rose petals. It definitely was enjoyable.

This showed rich and opulent flavors. A beautiful aroma of pineapple, kiwi and ripe pear. Long finish with weight and depth. Some could consider this too much depth for a puligny but i loved it. I will remember this wine for a while because of the delight it provided.

Good depth with nice fruit. The wine had a very good finish but is beginning to show its age. Slightly died after being open for a half hour. Fruit was plum, light cherry. Had slight tartness but showed forest floor aromas which i love.

This was simply great. The aroma was beautiful with roses, red licorice and deep cherry. The wine had unlimited depth but was not heavy. Showed great complexity with multiple experiences of dark fruit.

This what a Chateauneuf should be. Absolutely ethereal. Perfect balance with a great aroma. Has complexity with the feeling of being light. The wine has mellowed to the point of being at peak.

This wine did not deliver the expectation i had for a Villa Creek wine. It showed a single dimension with some basic fruit. It had a mid length finish but it was not an exciting wine.

The aroma is outstanding - very rich, opulent, inviting and full of ripe fruit. Deep yellow, slightly gold color. Taste was honeysuckle, ripe pear, mango and a hint of butterscotch. You could not tell this wine had a 16.1% alcohol level. I would buy more of this if i could.

Private wine tasting. The wine was deep and reminded me of a Meursault. Good rich and deep flavor. Wonderful aroma. Some honey and almond. Surprise of the tasting.

Phil Berringer brought the wine up to Browns Hunt Club. It was lovely. Still a little young with slight bubbly nature. Good acidity, firm and moderate structure. Pear and apple flavor.

The wine was wonderful. Light raspberry and cherry with hints of strawberry. Beautiful light pinot with medium weight throughout the taste. It opened up nicley after the first helf hour to suggest it could have evolved even more with time. Good blance and consistent finish.

The wine had depth and a variety of different fruit in the taste. The predominant fruit was wild boysenberry, raspberry and blackberry. The aroma brought me back to memories of eating wild fruit in the fields. We paired the wine with quail and pheasant at Tafia restaurant in Houston. Overall, too much wild fruit and needs to be refined al little more.

I thought it was a very easy and simple Pinot noir. Cherry aroma and taste. Not much complexity but a great summer wine to open up and enjoy for dinner.

A very good wine. Most prominent aroma was bing cherries along with plum and vanilla. This wine could compliment several different styles of food. Good body and character. Finish was silky with soft tannins and black cherries.
