Drank as part of a Piedmont Italian wine tasting (all from the same producer). The Barbaresco was by far the stand-out.

The wine has medium acidity. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like plum, blackberry, red currant, soy sauce, artichoke and lead pencil. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has round texture.

I was at a steak dinner with 16 people and we shared 2 Jeroboams of this wine. It was excellent. Not sure if I have ever had this blend before, but I went out the following weekend and bought a bottle for myself.

Really enjoyed this with a grilled pork chop. Tannins mellowed nicely from when I tasted this at the winery a couple of years ago.
