1/23/23, 3:09 PM - No idea what this cowboy story is about, but good that you had such a fantastic wine ! :-)
1/15/23, 10:25 AM - Hello Garrigue, yes it had a decent decant of about 2 hours. It developed ok during that time, i did not have the feeling that it needed much more air. During the course we drank it with and after until the end of the evening it remained the same.
9/5/22, 12:04 AM - With that name, would it not rather be made of Sauvignon? Cheers
9/5/22, 5:44 AM - Have a good day! :-)
6/20/22, 5:52 AM - So happy you confirm! Nice note and looking forward to the remaining bottle :-)
6/14/22, 3:43 AM - Hi hajoha, just came across this nice note as i am looking to buy some of this :-). I think is very good to keep writing in the language you are familiar with. First because you can best express what you think and then to reflect our diverse world. Google translate is now good enough to anybody to even get Norwegian into English! :-)
3/21/22, 2:41 AM - I have some left and will let you know how the others will be!
1/4/22, 2:02 PM - Quite agree with your approach, Madvitale. Inconsistency should be reflected, specially when the default is not linked to cork etc.
12/14/21, 1:48 PM - Ein Reifen Bordeaux… Oder eher ein Kringel? ;-)
10/21/21, 2:00 PM - Well, actually DJ, the two camps seem to be you and the others….
10/22/21, 2:13 AM - Well... you have 10 notes averaging 94.9, then there are 19 other notes averaging 90.3 ;-)
10/13/21, 2:48 AM - It seems that the style of CD is rather on the rich/over concentrated side, so this rather sounds normal. Also agree that this will probably not age much more.
7/19/21, 3:37 AM - Thanks so much srh! Very interesting details about the wine, much appreciated :-)!
7/4/21, 12:14 AM - Yes indeed. I followed Cos for ages and its longevity always surprises me when compared to other St. Estephe.
7/4/21, 10:23 AM - @Mark, as I still have a close to complete “verticale” since 1986 (will need to look at this at one point in time …), I get quite some of your reviews/comments, so I guessed this ;-). @jenmermaidia, the Haut Marbuzet was wonderful. Fully integrated tannins by now, so soft drinking, yet focused and dense, full of cloves dark berries and licorice on both palate and nose. An an absolutely hedonistic wine that pairs brilliantly with food (we chose NZ lamb to with it… ).
7/5/21, 6:37 AM - Haut Marbuzet is a very solid long term perfomer, so good luck with it and let us know! I never went beyond 1995 though...
7/1/21, 6:06 AM - Pauillac?
7/1/21, 6:33 AM - Indeed
6/23/21, 1:08 PM - Could not agree more. 3-5 years will not be enough.
1/24/20, 6:36 AM - Hi Manu, you are absolutely right, that would be euros € of course. Though not that much more in $, maybe 13?
5/22/21, 9:04 AM - Sorry for the late reply! Tuscany is our favorite holiday destination, so we buy it down there. Car always overload going back 😏
2/3/21, 5:35 AM - Thanks for the Barolo insight! I understand that this is a long term exercise... so a bit like Bordeaux and Burgundy. So I will try to get my hands on older ones, as long term stockpiling for ages cannot be carried out on all interesting "appelations". And will get 3 of these and give you feedback in 5 years ;-).
10/25/20, 10:48 AM - Yes, i will probably try in some 1-2 years again. It's so frustrating to be close to the full potential, but not yet there yet.... Let's hope!
9/6/19, 3:21 PM - I am sure you will be lucky 😊
7/15/19, 12:48 AM - Good luck with the bottle, cheers!
4/23/19, 2:12 PM - My pleasure!
4/23/19, 2:16 PM - My pleasure!
7/24/18, 2:29 AM - Dear PSPatrick, many thanks for this inside! I will try to get another bottle then and put aside some 6 years. Will let you know in due course ;-)
7/24/18, 9:54 AM - you test my patience... 13 years to wait for that note :-).
5/7/18, 3:03 AM - Dear Mark, many thanks for you advice and comments! This Cos was bought at a local retail super market upon release and stored properly (perfect cork condition). The supermarket don't give a lot about complaints on wines bought 16 years ago... But I might want to let the Chateau know if there are more flawed bottles in the box. Unlike the glorious 80s and 90s wine from Cos, they seem to have lost it a bit after 2000, despite generally good ratings...
2/4/18, 12:07 PM - Have indeed exactly the same impression. Many thanks for sharing yours. Still having substantial holdings of this wine I asked the Château for their opinion.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
