Damn good. Opens up after a few minutes into a full, rich taste (though not overloaded w oak or anything). This is just so deep and thoughtful.
Red
Strawberry bubblegum. Evolved into increasing complexity over the evening. Cali fun
Red
This is starting to hit its stride. Worth waiting another 2-3 years but in a great spot now.

In the secondary stage. Ready to drink now and wouldn’t wait

Needs an hour or two of air but great after
White - Off-dry
Need 30 mins of air and then fire away

Night 3 note (and I’ve got a cold): this is ready to rock. Full and rich by anthill standards. Burgundy vibe.
Red
This still hasn’t figured itself out yet. Check in in another year or two. Enjoyable but feels like there’s more.

UPDATE: much more interesting after about three hours of air. Decant early if drinking now.
Red
This could go another couple years. A bit more structured all around than the other 2016s.
Red
In a great spot and quite enjoyable. Feels like a toned down version of the Demuth, which at this point had a richer nose and more burgundy feel.
Red
Best of the batch. Drinking great right now. Most Burgundian feeling of these wines.
Red
Fantastic, drinkable and right on target.
White
Good, if a bit one demensional. Opens with air.
Red
In a good, final spot. Drink now or say adios.
Red
Had this a couple years back and wasn’t in love with it. A few years of cellar time have done wonders — this is amazingly integrated and just a delight now. Wish I had more.

Red
Inky and structured. This could use another two years I think.
Red
Potential there and quite enjoyable but needs more time to really come together. Prominent acid and tannin, opened up quite a bit with a meal of steak and asparagus. Curious to check in on 2023 onward.

What’s not to like. Mineral, lively fruit, all working together nicely. It could get better but why wait?

Flirting with profound and amazing. The nose was there and the palate too — loved it after an hour or two open. At with the wrong meal, which may have skewed things.

Definitely in a very drinkable place, with plenty of structure still there
Red
Have had some bottle variation w these. A bit of oxidized older wine smell blew off after an hour and this one was fantastic. Drink soon.
White
Better on night two than night one. In an interesting place with some air and suggesting good years ahead. Sit on these a bit.

Pretty boring on night one without a decant, came open big time on night two with lamb. A real surprise and a ton more complexity than the first evening’s “well this is enjoyable and easy.”

I wish the label didn’t look like it came off my home printer.
Red
Good structure, lot of tannin. Give this another 3-5 years and check back in. Enjoyable now but there’s more there to reveal and mellow.

A very very California chard, loaded w oak and high alcohol — but it all works? On full blast, but in balance (though wow is the volume up high). In a way better drinking window now than the 2018 I had. Will def wait for at least this 5-8 year window for others in the cellar.

Delicious. Gluggable fruit and a nice acidic core that’s not overpowering. In a great place and an enjoyable wine for sure. Drink!
Red
Popped and poured. Great nose, floral and rich. Just delicious and nice complexity right out of the bottle. Superb QPR for Anthill options.

2009 Château Devise d'Ardilley Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
In a good spot. Drink up.
White
In a good place and may be rounding the corner to a new phase.
Red
Damn good. Open and vibrant. I’m sure one could wait, but this has as much as you’d want to love right now.
Red
Enjoyable but not spectacular. May need more time, may just be so-so
Red
Decanted several hours before to blow off any must and remove sediment.

Was drinking very nicely from the gun. Well-preserved cork, clear ruby color. A bit of sour cherry and secondary, moving into tertiary flavors. Not sure how it really gets better from here. In a nice delicate balance.
Red
Well colore surprised. Great cork condition and obviously a well stored bottle. Definitely in the tertiary phase but this was still great. Long finish with interesting fruit and acid, highly enjoyable with roast lamb. On its way down but still something to savor.
Red
On open: Way more earthy and dark than the 2011, which was highly acidic and fruity. Nicely resolved tannins. In a good place right now.
Red
Decanted for about 4 hours prior. Dusty tannins and subtle elegance at this point. Maybe a year or two past peak but mellow and nice.
Red
This is just a delight. Bright fruit and acid integrated with the tannins. Still feels young and fresh but with superb balance. What a delight.

Consumed half of bottle w/ coravin.
Bright acid and citrus, great w/ food but was putting it up against a bigger cali chard and it was a bit lackluster in comparison. Still love this wine for the price.

Half bottle w/ coravin:
On open, still tight w/ oak and Very California Chardonnay. After an hour or two of air, blossoms into rich, delightful complexity and balance. Floral, citrus and just a whole lot going on and working nicely in balance.

Day one: Not a huge fan. Big, oaky, highly alcoholic. This wine may just not be to my taste at this point in its life. Curious how it evolves with a day of air, but boy oh boy is this just a lot right now.

This has evolved substantially since first bottle in 2018. More complex, richer and fuller vs pure bright tart acid early on. Interested to see in a few more years, but in a solid place right now.
Red
Feels like this is definitely at peak (or just past). Drink up.
White
PnP notes: This is going to be good, but right now is more structure than pleasure. Feels like it needs a year or two more before it’s ready to party. Tart and tight right now.

After two hours open: a good bit more open and the acidic spine of the wine does really nicely with food.
Red
Fruit forward pleasure bomb, with enough acid and tannins as a spine to give nice structure. Feels in very good balance/window right now and no need to wait longer.
Red
Opening: pale garnet color, touch of red/brown at the edge. Nose is big right on the open w evident fruit and darker elements. Strong spine of acid, elegant tannins. Wow. This is in an excellent place.
White
Light and acidic. No new oak in the barrels and feels for my palate like it lacks some depth. Enjoyable summer wine but I’m personally looking for more.

Update: Better on night two. More open and interesting, with a richer mouthfeel and more complex profile.
