This might be my favorite white wine to date. Fantastic balance between aromatics, body, and acidity.

Nose is fully of white flower, stone fruit, and lifted apple lemon and mandarin orange. There are notes of honey and sweeter elements as well.

Palette has excellent body with a great crisp acidity from the Riesling. Lots more peach, apricot, honey, with subtle notes of white rose, sweet lemon, a touch of creaminess, and marmalade.

Fantastic. Drink cool but don’t over chill for maximum aromatics. Beautiful!

Underripe red fruit, organic earth on the nose. Palate is similar to the nose with a thinner mouth feel. Finer tannins are a bit more present than the acid, but the finish is still fairly balanced. Wine is not overly complex, but drinks well and pairs well with food. Wine has a bit more character at cooler temps, Drink slightly cooler around 55F.

Poured slightly chilled and kept cool throughout drinking.

Very light, very drinkable St Laurent grown in Carneros. On the nose, it has a light green component, subtle undertones of underripe red fruit, and some light dust or dirt. The palate is thin, soft, and almost tannin-less with mild acidity. Upon initial opening, there’s a very subtle funk that dissipates over 30-45 minutes.

All in all an excellent low alcohol presentation of a cool climate fragrant forward grape. Very drinkable and a great alternate to your every day Pinot.

Very rich, honeycomb and wax was the predominant flavor on the palate. Slight orange cream on the nose. but generally the aromatics were muted. Drank a little “hot” (alcoholic), but overall very nice. Less bright than when it was young (drank at vineyard in fall 2017).

Served cellar temperature, decanted 20 minutes before first glass. 2nd glass is lighter, 40 minutes decanted.

Medium garnet color, more transparent than some Nebbiolos.

Ripe cherry, oak
Cedar, mint, red fruit, refined medium tannins and medium minus acid. Long finish with nice notes of licorice and chewed bubble gum. Really fun, excellent value.

Overall - Could be one of the best cool climate wines we’ve ever had. Opened at 55F and drank first glass within 10 minutes of opening. Second glass about 45 minutes later, slightly warmer.

A-deep purple-ruby with thin tears
N-Huge floral notes that are focused on rose, lilac, and iris with spicy hints of potpourri.
P- floral and rose notes lead with green notes and plum in the middle, and finishes with woody notes and spice. Acidity in the early to mid palate leads to late but well structured tannins that drive this wine into a long finish
F-hints is plum, saw dust, and floral notes linger for quite some time.

Wine is extremely complex while remaining light/medium bodied, but with enough backbone that all of the personality comes through boldly. Less subtle than a Pinot, but more subtle than most other medium bodied reds. Absolutely amazing, would buy at almost any price point.

This was a very interesting Pinot with strong notes of passion fruit and guava. Body was light+ with a clean finish. A very fun and interesting Pinot if you are looking for something a bit off the beaten path.

Drank first glass at cellar temp and second glass closer to room temp about 30 minutes after bottle opening. Second glass was far better; this needs a little time to open up and possibly warm up.

Appearance - medium purple hue with thinner viscosity.
Nose - earthier nose with a little funk and some red and black fruit.
Palate - a little thin to start with some acid. But then loads of black fruit mixed with char, caramel, pouporri, cigar box, leather, and other strong secondary flavors. A nice spicyness at the end. Finish is smooth with minimal tannins and fairly long. Alcohol is in balance and not overpowering even at 15.0

This wine is not what I would call typical CA (Sonoma) old vine zin but it certainly has its place. Cooler climate feel with lots of secondary flavors. Drink now. Should go great with smokier, fatty dishes like short rib, pulled pork, etc.

Overall an excellent CDP at the price point. Ready to drink now. enjoy!

Opened at cellar temperature and poured immediately for the first glass. Second glass about an hour later. Third glass 24 hours later.

Appearance - deep ruby color, minimal rimming. Tears are indicating high viscosity.

Nose - big black and red fruit with subtle notes of earth, floral notes.
Palate - smooth, rich, and opulent up front with big notes of jam, brambleberry pie, subtle note of underbrush or maybe sage. A firm but refined tannin backbone and subtle acidity extend the finish. This wine is absolutely ready to drink now but will also do well over the next several years at minimum.

Finish has slightly more tannin than acid, and is somewhat woody with hints of brush and oak mixed with various fruit notes from the main body.

Second day tasted slightly thinner on the palate and was more focused on secondary flavors. Held up well but would still recommend drinking first day.

I was disappointed with this bottle as we had previously had this Pinot in this vintage and thought it had more complexity and was overall a lot better. This bottle seemed very one dimensional, primarily light underripe red fruit with minimal nose and a little too much acid. Opened and drank immediately at cellar temp. May need a little time to breathe.

A cool climate Pinot with a lot solid complexity of secondary flavors behind the light red fruit of strawberry and cherry. Oak provides some char, underbrush, and tannin towards the finish. Acidity clears the palate. Overall balanced and not fruit or oak dominated. a good representation of cool climate American style Pinot from Willamette. Would buy again.

Nice SB from this region. Good acidity and minerality, even if slightly one dimensional. Would buy again for a simple, easy going white that pairs well with food.

Highly aromatic nose with hints of violet, dark fruits, woody notes, and rose.

Palate was primary dark fruit, earthy, underbrush but very rich and full without being overly fruit forward. Mild tannins with balanced acidity leading into a lingering complex finish.

Excellent wine especially at the price point. Will be purchasing again for sure.

Consumed well chilled in the head of mid July.

Provence style rose with good minerality and acid. The nose has citrus pithe (lime or grapefruit) and floral notes and some subtle stone fruit. Palate is acid driven with strong minerality and strong notes of lemon. Finish is crisp and clean. Excellent summer wine but that can be enjoyed year around.

A- medium ruby rim with deep ruby core with low viscosity.
N- nuanced nose with hints of earth, underbrush, and dried herb. Some sweet cherry initially that faded as the wine breathed.
P- extremely balanced initially and very soft, velvety mouthfeel. Fruit is extremely understated, but also not earth/mineral dominated. Subdued. Finishes with underripe watermelon. Tannins are balanced and fine but firm at the end.
F- finish is fairly long, with notes of tabacco, earth, and violet.

Poured at 48-50F, warmed as it sat in the glass.
A - medium straw to pale yellow color with bubbles from slight effervescence.

N - complex nose with citrus including grapefruit pith and lime skin, wet stone, and slight jalapeño, mint and floral notes.

P - huge notes of mineral and bitter citrus on the palette including lime skin and grapefruit pith. Not overly complex here but very mineral and citrus driven through the mid palate with a very subtle effervescence to clear things and make way for the finish. Acid driven but not overwhelming and extremely low sugar.

F - finish is surprisingly complex and opens up a bit, introducing tropical fruit flavors including nectarine, passion fruit, and white peach. Surprisingly long finish for a wine with some much acid on the palate.

Excellent wine for a mineral/citrus driven wine with really low sweetness that is easy to drink but complex and interesting. Would absolutely buy again at $15-20 price point.

Appearance:hazy blood orange color with slow viscous tears.
Nose: Apple cider vinegar, funky fermentation odors, with subtle strawberry and floral notes
Palate: sour strawberry and bruised red apple that leads with acidity but finishes with very slight tannins, almost chalky. Very subtle effervescence which draws additional finish out of this fun wine.

Good orange wine that is especially hard to find in CO. Moderate value for $35-40, would buy again if looking for a unique wine.

Decanted 5 minutes for first glass and 45 minutes for second glass. Third glass 24 hours later after vacuvin on bottle.

A-Dark, opaque purple. Thick and viscous appearance.

N-Not quite jammy but very ripe black and red (raspberry?) fruit as well as a sugary, almost caramel like nose.

P-Macerated black fruit on the palate with notes of cocoa powder and spice. Mouthfeel is very smooth, almost merlot-like initially with balanced acid and tannins, medium for both. Finish is a little “hot” due to high alcohol but overall nice and medium in duration (30 seconds).

Conclusion - an excellent Sonoma zin, especially at this price point. Would buy again.

Solid weeknight wine.

A: dark ruby to slight garnet. Viscosity is on the thinner side.
N: lot of earth and sour cherry with potpourri
P: sour red fruit and organic earth. Medium + acidity with minimal tannins to finish. Thin mouthfeel, on the watery side. Short finish. A bit one dimensional but good. Drank blind with dinner and went well with food. Fruits came out more with food.
C: Syrah fooled me here, was leaning more barbera or heavy Pinot from NZ. Feel like the 2013 bottle I had from this producer was thicker and a bit more tannic.

Pale ruby color with consistent rim and core color. Dominant Char, organic earth, decaying earth on the nose with a very subtle floral and red fruit background. Underripe cherry, spicy red rose, and ripe red fruit on the palate, albeit slightly thin on the mouth feel. Finish has nice, semi-soft tannins with balanced acidity that result in an extended finish. Alcohol is slightly elevated towards the end, but overall excellent. Based on previous reviews, it looks like this 2014 vintage did better after a bit of age in the bottle. Would absolutely buy again at $15 price point. Looking forward to see what the 2015 shows.

Notes of crushed cranberry, wet potting soil, and wet stone on the nose. Surprisingly, both mineral and earth on the palate with high acidity that dominates the finish. Minimal fruit on this one and unbalanced (overly dominant) acidity. Likely would pair well with food rather than stand alone. A good Pinot but might be a little acid heavy without food.

Decanted and drank immediately for first glass and then drank second glass about an hour later. Nose and mouth notes shifted fairly dramatically over the course of one to two hours. Notes of earth, black olive, potpourri, and violet dominate the nose. The mouth feel is light and slightly thin with strong flavors of red fruits and olive dominated by red cherry and underripe or possibly dried strawberry. A subtle hint of vegetal flavors including garden greens (tomato leaf) are present in the background with a finish that includes jalapeño and subtle oak. The mouth is balanced between medium acid and light, fine tannins. The finish lingers with primarily floral and herbal notes, and some tart red fruit. Overall a fantastic wine that shows so much character and evolves over several hours. Drinks lighter than expected but is beautiful. Would absolutely buy again at $37/bottle.
