2018 Yalumba The Y Series Shiraz/Viognier South Australia Shiraz Blend, Syrah
having with roast chicken as viognier is one of the few reds that go well with it when I searched dr. google
this is the appetizer wine, decanting a bottle of Priorat for the next course

    1/6/21, 4:52 PM - I used a coravin and then drank soon after as it's an expensive bottle and didn't want to crack the whole bottle, put it back in the cellar for at least another year, thanks for your input

    I started mine by style (ie:Amarone) and year from old to new but I'm quickly finding out that this doesn't give me room to add bottles and the styles have overlap as well
    Just wondering what others do

decanted and drank half, was at least drinkable unlike the 2007 I had recently, hoping when I finish tonight to be even better as many of the reviews have written
update 4/8 went to pick up decanter and it shattered in my hand opening a nice gash in my finger my wife wouldn't let me drink it so I'll have to wait til the next bottle to see if it changes after 24 hour decant

    12/29/19, 4:52 PM - grandkids range in age from 2.5 to 16 so it was for their parents though in Italian tradition we give some of the little ones a shot glass sized portion with 1/4 inch of wine and the rest pelligrino, and yes nothing but the best for them pretty sure I'm not taking it with me

    12/7/19, 10:45 AM - OK here goes my translation from a heavily soiled 3x5 index card
    Use bone in skin on chicken thighs
    Heat oil of your choice (my wife uses sunflower)
    Fry chicken pieces, adding seasoning while frying (oregano,rosemary,garlic, onion,salt,pepper)
    After chicken is brown add 1/2 cup each ofvinegar and water, cover, cook until tender about 1 hour all together
