Great QPR on this wine. Not for the faint hearted...big and ripe flavors. I agree with the last wine note....if you drink mostly Rhone you will probably find this too ripe and syrupy. Honestly, I would serve this as a house/party wine and most folks would love it. 90

2nd Day Edit: Well, this wine came around and lost some its over the top ripe flavors and really delivered on a sleeker frame. Almost a 180 difference in profile. Add two points.

Cherry/Strawberry with a touch of earth on the nose. Still has good acidity but felt the finish is starting to fade especially after about 30-45 mins in the glass. Agree with previous poster and would recommend drinking within the next 6-9 months, if not sooner.

WOTN; Really an incredible rendition of CA Syrah. We drank alongside two Cab's - Carter TK and Bevan Tench. High ABV but was really well integrated, big blue fruits with a looooong finish. This should last at least another 10+ years.

Have to agree with Frank's previous notes; Really a fantastic bottle of PN. Baking spices, some orange peel, great balance and long finish. Need to buy MORE!

Fresh with great acidity. A little reductive initially but opened up beautifully. Wet stone and citrus fruits. Decanted 3 hours ahead of dinner. Great upside and expect to climb 1-2 more points with age.

Consistent with previous notes; +1 on last bottle. Had with grilled souvlaki. Great acidity and that famous salinity with a touch of lemon peel.

PnP; 20 yr anniversary dinner. Needs time and/or a decant. Definitely in a better place later in the evening versus when opened. Consistent with other CTers previous notes. This is great wine that will get better with time.....1st bottle of our 2016's we have opened. Expect to climb 1 to 2 points.

A few more years on this bottle has really helped it come together. Nice acidity and fruit still very fresh. Last bottle.

As stated in earlier notes, this needs a decant. I opened and let sit for about an hour at cellar temp. It probably needs at least 2-3 hours, if you plan on drinking in the short term. Very young and would suggest checking in on this in about another 1 - 2 years. That said, it's a beast - dark and brooding, with some tobacco on the nose. Tannins are not too heavy. Again, it really needs time and grilled meats!

Wow! This is not your run of the mill Italian Sangiovese. Ton's of big black and blue fruit on this one. Very decadent and would recommend with some grilled meats. Need to buy more!

1st bottle; We tasted at Blue Farm in 2018 and purchased a mixed case of wines. That said, this is a big and burly PN. Although I felt the tannins were pretty much in check. Picked up the blueberry and some smoke (oak) on the nose. Probably would overpower lighter dishes and definitely would pair with a heartier meal such as a steak or even duck (which we had as part of our meal). Surprised how dark it was in the glass. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves in the coming years....

Last bottle. This bottle seemed possibly past its peak from last year. There wasn't much depth as the previous taster noted and felt the finish was lacking. Decent but nowhere near as good as last year.

Nose shows big black fruit but palate is more reserved. The bottle age has somehow mellowed this one....not a very long finish but enjoyable.

Father's Day at Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta; 2 oz pour via Coravin. Delicate with a nice straw color. A bit reductive on the nose since it was the first pour from a new bottle. Needs time.

Father's Day Dinner at Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta. Still has life but should drink up your remaining bottles over the next 1-2 years. Distinct Chasseur nose of spice, red fruit primarily pomegranate and raspberry.

Dinner with friends and fellow CTer - EL. Chasseur Chard's are always enjoyable wines. Great color and acidity. This is not your typical heavy CA Chard. It drinks more like PC Burgundy than a Cali Chard. Stone fruit, lemon curd, etc. In a great place right now.

One of our favorite Sonoma producers. Very consistent. Red fruit and a bit earthy with good spice. Probably about 1-2 years left if you have cellared properly. This was our last bottle.

Decanted for about an hour then poured back into the bottle. Truthfully, my first couple of sips I was thinking I was going to score it in the high 80's....Then had it with our meal and it totally changed my opinion. Similar to other TN's - Cherry, spice, well balanced and long finish. Good acidity. Still have some left in the bottle and will taste again tomorrow night. My rec: Decant for at least two hours.....and have it with a nice meal!

Update: Finished off the bottle tonight. Slightly better today than yesterday. Possibly 1/2 - 1 point higher.

Our initial tasting at the vineyard this was borderline fruit bomb. That said, this wine has really integrated the fruit over the last few years. Really didn't sense any heat even with higher alcohol levels. One left.

Cork fell apart; however, after pulling what pieces i could out of the neck and letting it breath a bit....it finally came around and about 45 mins in it was really hitting its stride. Not a ton of time left on this vintage....at peak now and probably about to go downhill from the summer on.

Hints of cinnamon and cherry. Dinner companions felt this was a step below the 2006 Domaine Serene. Might be in a better place now than from a few years ago.

When I first opened, I thought this wine was done. After about 30-45 of air time it came around. Was very surprised how well it drank last night. Still a big wine but seems to have mellowed over the last few years. If you have any left, I suggest a short decant or slo ox. Not much time left. Last bottle.
