No notes taken. Much better this time around...
Dark fruit, barnyard, undergrowth and spices... Full-body, fruity and complex. Better with food. To drink within 1-2 years.

1/31/22, 3:13 PM - Based on the time between the two bottles I tasted, I would say yes to showing a bit of age but not much. Still solid but real nice and complex. It should hold for a few years and may develop somewhat further...

Son nez a évolué d'arômes floraux et végétaux à des arômes boisés ainsi que des notes animales. Pot-pourri, herbes de Provence, écurie, fruits confits...très complexe ! Saveurs de fruits mûrs avec des tannins poussiéreux et bien intégrés. Texturé, mi-corsé, ample et harmonieux. Longue finale sur de notes d'épices et de griotte. Délicieux maintenant et boire d'ici 4-5 ans.

En premier un nez expressif d'écurie avec son côté animal. Ce changeant rapidement en fruits noirs et de groseille, ainsi que d'arômes floraux avec ses écorces et enfin, de caramel écossais...très beau ! Un vin fruité et riche. Ample aux tannins fins et intégrés...umami. Rond et harmonieux aux saveurs d'épices, de réglisse et de cola. De persistance moyenne sur une pointe sèche. Prêt à boire.

4/7/21, 8:42 PM - Thank you for the comment. No decant but opened 60 minutes before tasting. Served with beef fondue which also included marinated chicken and shrimps...and lots of veggies of course. Compared it to a 2013 Priorat...see my TN's for the same date.

Nez intéressant d'herbe, de paille, de fruits exotiques, de fleurs...chèvrefeuille, de cir et d'épices...miel...complexe. On veut tellement plus de saveurs après un tel nez. Un vin sec et texturé...gras. Fruit très discret...une pointe de pelure de citron et de vanille après quelque temps. Je m'attendais à plus selon les critiques. Définitivement boire chambré, entre 14° et 17° C. Trop jeune peut-être ??

Vraiment atypique...mais bon quand même.
Nez : garrigue, galet, algues, terreux, champignon, sous-bois, mousse d'arbre. Acidité fraiche, tannins fins. Fruits mûrs discrets. Asséchant...15.7 % ! Souple et ample. Longue finale...soupçon d'anis. 2009...loin du La Crau que je connais.

12/2/20, 3:23 PM - Interesting that there are inconsistencies regarding the alcohol level. The level is clearly indicated on the front label... Based on my tasting, the level was definitely higher than 14.5%.

Closed at first...then aromas of brioche, prune and apricot, rose petals and cooked veggies...and a hint of petrol. Smooth, fruity, sweet and soft. Flavours of cotton candy and toffee. Long yummy finish. No food required. Drink up...delicious!

7/22/20, 7:48 PM - Not really that far advanced on the aging curve. I suggest drinking now because it is in a perfect place with soft tannins and ripe fruit flavours. I cannot see this getting much better but time may give it more tertiary notes...uncertain though given the ultra soft tannins...from my perspective and given this bottle anyways.

Always an enjoyable Pinot Noir...a must for my cellar when available!
Nez intense de cerise confite entrelacé d'épices (cannelle) et de fines herbes grillées...très beau ! Un vin souple et fruité et harmonieux...bien texturé et profond. Longue finale. Boire sand tarder.

My last bottle of many since 2016...already great but even better!! An excellent vintage...delicious! Not too sweet, not too heavy, not too powerful...smooth and perfect balance of fruit and spices. Really enjoyable. Well-done with an excellent QPR. 92+

My last 2011...and it was even better than the bottle I tasted in August! Cigar box, blueberry pie, spices, floral notes, sweet berry jam, toasted oak, rubber... Perfect balance, unctuous and concentrated, complex flavours of fruits, flowers and spices, long finish... absolutely delicious and...now!!
