Deep ruby color, lucious to look at! Dark fruit on the nose with oak and earth notes.
Blueberry, vanilla on the palate. Well balanced fruit and acidity with still strong tannins. This is a BIG CALI CAB. Very impressive, Decanted for 2+ hrs, would age another 5 or more years. A GREAT wine.

4/21/21, 2:07 PM - It was my only bottle of the 2014. The drinking window is listed as beginning in 2020, but after tasting I think it should be moved back 2 or 3 years, at least. I have more from "12,'13, 15, and 16.
I guess I'm at the point where I feel, Hey I'm 75 yrs old.....so much wine so little time. The tannin was well balanced and not overwhelming. Fruit was supple, not jammy, I don't regret opening it....but I can't remember ANY bottle I've regretted opening....that's how you learn.
