Splendid. Makes you think. Drink it.

Incredible explosion of tropical and stone fruits with textured layers of salinity. I could see this getting a little better with time, but why wait? This is delicious and can be enjoyed today

Classic syrah flavors and well integrated tannins. I don't see this getting much better than current state.

Absolutely delicious. As others have mentioned, this can go for a number of years but no harm in enjoying today.

I really enjoyed this. Great texture and energy. For the price, worth seeking out some more.

Agree with the last review. Something off here. Will hold my remaining bottles and see.

This was a beautiful wine but it is also very powerful. This is way too young. Very coiled and built for the long haul. It provides a good bit of expression but really makes you ponder what lies beneath. Give it lots of air or hold for a few more years.

Was getting a sausage and peppers note on the nose. That's a first for me so take it as you will. Decent weekday wine. No complaints.

Great tension, precision and good length. This is very enjoyable and an incredible value. Excited to try some of the other bottlings.

Good with spicy food. Would need a bit more acid to drink on it's own. Enjoyable nonetheless

Pretty good value here and this is definitely in the drinking window. Lovely nose with classic nebbiolo notes. Palate was soft and tannins integrated. Paired with cacio e pepe.

Decanted for a couple hours. Nothing too exciting on the nose. A little of the cherry that others have mentioned but not too intense. Palate is nice with some good earth tones, mushroom and some graphite mixed in. Solid wine for the price. Paired with pizza. May pick up a couple more bottles to follow over time.

I don't find this to be particularly expressive or interesting. Smells like syrah but on the palate it feels a bit watered down and thin. Wasn't really sure what to expect here but I guess this is not it. Definitely an interesting story and has the Graillot name attached to it so there's that. Seems to be priced appropriately.

This was fine. Kept feeling like it was on the edge of opening up but never really made it. Maybe just needs more time.

Second bottle in the last few weeks. This is much better than the first. This feels less tired, fresher and more balanced than the previous bottle. Much of the primary fruit has subsided leaving preserved lemon, crushed rocks, wet stone, a little oak and some orchard fruit on the nose. Palate is showing that same lemon and minerality. Medium/medium + acidity. Oak is well integrated, medium long finish. This is an enjoyable wine. Splash decant. Paired with sushi.

Probably the least interesting wine I've had from Matthiasson. Pretty basic. Not offensive but just not doing much for me. First experience with this grape.

As far as barbera goes this is pretty dang good. Great minerality on the palate with some earth and a fairly long but thin finish. Very giving on the nose. Started out with bright red fruits and over the course of the night has given way to minerality and a bit of dried mushroom. Wouldn't mind having a few more of these in the cellar.

Enjoyable barbera. Starts off a little slow but with air it really seems to open up nicely. This would suggest it can be held onto for a bit but definitely enjoyable now with a quick decant.

Still a good amount of oak coming through on this. Could use some time.

Cherry jolly rancher, strawberry, blueberry, earth. Medium tannins. Holds up to food. Paired well with pizza. Unmistakably Beaujolais. Good stuff. First bottle from this producer and glad I have a few more of their bottlings. Excited to try more.

For the vintage, I would expect a lot more ripe fruits here. Not getting much throughout. Some spice, lots of acidity as others have mentioned. Tannins are manageable but finish is short. A little disappointing

This is singing. Agree with previous notes that this vintage is the best in recent memory. These bottles will be gone fast.

Dank wet earth and sour cherries. Tannins are well integrated. Was not able to give this my full attention. Will be sure to give my next bottle a fair shake.

Fantastic stuff. Takes you for a ride. Close your eyes and picture yourself in the Spanish isles drinking this eating octopus and shrimp until your heart desires. Just drink it and buy more.

Fresh crunchy fruit, cherry, strawberry. Some tannins lingering on the finish. Fun wine. Great with pizza

Papies note still nails this perfectly. Quite good at this stage

Nose is closed down right now. Palate is fresh and there is a good finish. Maybe in an in between phase?

Agree with previous reviews that this doesn't have the legs to go the distance. This was absolutely great the for 1.5-2 hrs. Hour three we are getting really thin and acidic. Drink up and hope you get a good bottle. This one was great, for a fleeting moment.

Lots of bruised fruit. Medium acidity. Medium tannin. Amber in color. Complex and interesting. Pairs well with food. Almost a mint note on the finish? A serious wine.

Good minerality, some fruit. Somewhat round on the palate with medium acidity. Great value and drinking well now. Not sure I see the need to hold this for super long as it seems ready to go.
