This is lovely now. No need to wait. Popped and poured. Black cherries on the nose with some more cherries and plum on the palate. Medium length. Quite pleasant.

Lots of sweet vanilla at present. Seems young to me. If I had more, I would wait five years. High class burg just to young and tight.

Really lovely. Ripe yet elegant. The 2000 vintage is so lovely to drink now. This is ready to go but will last so no rush but no need to wait.

Seems like this is in a good place right now. No rush to consume, but really quite lovely. Good intensity, medium long on the finish, but no harsh edges. An elegant bottle of Pinot.

Really lovely. Not especially intense nor long, but smooth, elegant, typical nose, and a pleasure to drink now--no need to wait on this to me. We put in a decanter, but it drank well from the get go.

Still generous fruit, at quite a good place now. No need to wait further. To me it is fully ready to drink, but no rush. Quite balanced for a 98. Pegau is truly a consistently fine maker.

Good wine, as always, but perhaps a bit lacking in weight of palette. I would say drink up if you have them and expect a pleasant, but not profound experience.

Still needs time to me. Seemed primary and sweeter than I had expected for a Kabinett. Good juice, but will wait a few years for the next bottle in the hopes of additional complexity.

This is generous and round for a Chablis. Really good with bracing acidity, a bit of lemon, but a more lush mouthfeel than I was expecting. A 94 point Burghound wine. Perhaps that is a bit high, but quality juice and glad I have four more. Drink now and over the next few years.

Ready to drink in my view, but no rush. Medium plus intensity on the palate, moderately long finish. Always a reliable issue from Jadot.

Restrained on the nose, quite dense on the palette with murky fruit and present tannins. Let these sleep for a few more years. Fine potential, however.

Really very fine value. Drinking well, but has years of life ahead--still some tannins on the back end ith sufficient fruit to go some additional years. Not sure how much better it will get, but perhaps some. Drink or hold for a few.

Drank at Goosefoot in Chicago. It s wonderful, but wish I had decanted for 20 minutes. Nose became more expressive and the finish even longer. Lovely fruit, dark fruits and even some leathery aromas on the finish. Just great stuff!

Quite lovely with Indian Food. Not terribly sweet for a Spatlese, but with significant petrol on the nose and a reasonable balance between sweetness and acid. Could use a touch more forward fruit, but this is a nitpick. Really quite good.

Shared with my wife over dinner at a fine Italian restaurant. Few days ago so going from memory, but it seemed at peak tho no reason to rush to drink, but not getting any better. Plenty of fruit left, fairly long, elegant mouthfeel, with some aromas of leather and dark fruit.

Lovely, at its peak I think. Nose was absolutely beguiling. Palette was elegant and moderately long with perhaps a tad less intensity than I had hoped from the wonderful nose. Medium length on the finish. Had this with some appetizers at dinner and I suspect would have shown better with slightly more neutral food like roast chicken. Still, a fine bottle.

Told my wife to get a bottle of burgundy for dinner out of the cellar. When I came in, she had popped the cork on this one! Better than I was looking for on a week night at home, but it was a treat! Just coming into its drinking window for me, I wish I had more. Lovely nose, good intensity of fruit. I think it perhaps needs another 2-4 years to fully mature and mellow as it seems still a tad less generous than I would think this wine capable of. Good length and intensity. Classy juice.

Very very good but probably needs another few years to show at its peak. Our only bottle, but still delicious with a steak dinner. Not infanticide, but early in its maturity.

This has really come round. Tonight we had it with dinner (Tilapia with a curry/butter/lemon sauce). It was rounder and fuller than the last bottle we drunk and I think it is fully ready to drink now and showing very well. Lovely wine. It just showing the slightest hint of the effects of oxidation on the finish--a bit of butterscotch that, for me, precedes a white wine's decline. For me, it is a point. Drink now and probably for the next year or two, but I do worry that it may not make old bones.

This one was hard for me to rate. Opened at dinner out and at first it had a bit of funk on the nose, which blew off. Nose got more and more complex tho the palate, which was okay at first, got better and then after an hour or two was tending toward acidic. While the nose was lovely and the potential is there, I think this wine still needs a few years to show its best. For drinking now, 90 points is generous. On potential, maybe low. Time will tell.

Quite good, but distressingly has some signs of being past its prime. THis has been consistent from bottle to bottle. Should be better than it is. First few bottles from the case were lovely, but I am afraid this one is destined for a short life.
