Very cherryish, with a touch of rose and wet stone on the nose. Soft, rounded palate with fairly unobtrusive tannins and nice acidity.

Giving nothing away at this stage. Opened up slightly on day 2 to give notes of fresh pear, but really this is not for drinking any time soon.

Somewhere between a Viognier and a Gewurz in flavour profile: roses and mandarins galore! Higher acidity than either of them though. Really lovely example.

Enjoyable though I found its fleshiness rather atypical. Plenty of classic gunflint smokiness on the nose but some surprising tropical fruit notes too and a touch of residual sugar. Generally much riper than your average Chablis: a nice wine, but not necessarily what one wants when one opens a Chablis!

Lovely texture, notes of underripe peach and white pepper with lots of acidity and a (very Italian) pleasantly bitter finish.

Delicious - orange zest, dark chocolate and blueberries as well as some lovely leather and sandalwood notes. Full bodied, but really fresh thanks to quite high acidity.

Lots going on here: a hit of menthol on the nose, lots of herbal notes, cardamom and clove on the palate. Also, Jancis is spot on when she notes burnt potato skins! The acidity keeps it fresh but it really needs a bit more fruit to be enjoyable.

Much better than expected. Plenty of fruit, some nice liquorice and almond notes. Very well balanced and drinking well now. Decanted 2.5 hours prior.

Quite a rustic one - spiced prunes and game on the nose, blueberries on the palate and a hefty dose of acidity and velvety tannins. Decanted 3 hours prior, which it definitely needed.

Lovely nose with some very pleasant toasted coconut notes. Nicely balanced fruit with very gentle tannins, though the oak may be better integrated in a year or two. Decanted three hours prior.

Too heavy for my personal taste, but would certainly be enjoyable for fans of full throttle Argentinian Malbec. Quite earthy with lots of five spice notes.

Far too much oak. Might be better integrated in a couple of years but always going to be heavy handed.

Cherry, raspberry, cocoa on the nose. Similar on the palate, avoids heaviness because of high acidity level. Went surprisingly well with some Pecorino.

Lime cordial, green peppers, and an attractive florality on the nose. Lime continues on the palate with bright acidity and good length. Very nice.

Bitter almond, a little clove on the nose. Medium bodied, very little fruit, well balanced palate. Expected slightly higher acidity but very enjoyable.

Red and black fruit, tinned butterbean, some slightly bretty notes that were gone on day 2. Lacked acidity and structure but straightforward and gluggable.

Bit mushroomy at first, moving on to coconut ice, apricot nose. Honeyed peach palate, acidity a little low.

Lime leaf and steel with a creaminess. Slightly hot alcohol not particularly well integrated.
