Not sure I can add much to the notes already made by ajbergren and KillerJones. So glad I’ve practiced patience with this wine. Decanting for 15-30 minutes balances and smoothes out the flavours.

Rich black berry fruit, with hints of blueberry jam, medium acidity and tannins, present, but beautifully mellowed. Long lingering finish. Paired beautifully with the first BBQ ribeye of the season. Fantastic wine = It’s not often R and I fight over the last glass. 😧

Excellent wine and wonderfully paired with Spiced Beef - thanks R n K for the reco!

Clear, medium ruby in the glass. Aromas abound with smoky black cherries & black bramble fruit. Taste of the fruit combines with a Hint of leather in a dry, mouth watering, medium acidity, with a mild astringency wine with grape tannins flavours. The finish Includes Hints of dried herbs and chocolate. This wine is full bodied with a long, smooth slightly smoky, complex finish.

Really Fine wine and excellently paired! I think this would be equally good with a tortieire ....

Similar notes as before, Clear pale to medium copper in the glass (sim colour to Nichol P Gris). Aromas include Bright red fruits, predominantly raspberry, plus lemon curd? With a hint of a cranberry spritz. Taste is zesty, fresh with light herbaceous notes (Freshly cut grass?). Very dry, fresh light wine with a nice low alcohol 11.2%. Perfect sipper on a hot summer day!

Clear medium pink with a hint of orange. Aromas of cranberry, raspberry and spice (cinnamon?). The fruit carries into the taste of the wine without the spice. Flavour is slightly sweet with a tingling mouth watering acidity.

Pale, light purple colour in the glass. Aromas of lightly smoked black cherries, violets, black currants and maybe blueberries? Agreed with PSPOT, this is a Very light bodied wine with low tannins, some acidity (good amount, not too much), mild astringency. Mild, short finish of smoky (but no cedar) cherries.

I enjoyed the lightness in this wine but R did not enjoy - finish was too short. A bit expensive for an OK wine; lots of other great choices available for the $$

Clear, medium purple with a hint of garnet at the edges. Aromas of black cherries and violets. Flavours include the same plus blackberries and mild cedar box. Mild to medium tannins with a medium to long finish make this wine a Smooth delight to drink now. Yum!

Goes well with creamy soups or chicken stews. Not a good match with higher acidity foods, like a tomato sauce.

First tasted at winery in September. Similar notes today. Clear, medium yellow. Light aromas of just ripe red apples (Macs or Spartans), hints of grassy fields. Similar flavours with the barest hints of oak/vanilla with a slightly oily finish. Taste - dry, light acidity, Low alcohol, Light Bodied- easy sipping white wine. Nice and good Value/$, wish I’d bought more.

Clear medium garnet in the glass. Aromas and flavours Are full of black cherries, blueberries and currants. Medium acidity and mild tannins. Mid palate to long finish, flavours of oolong tea, cedar and leather appear. Slightly hot finish.

Drinking REALLY well right now and is very nice. I Prefer this 2015 vintage to the 2014 as it doesn’t have that honey/cotton candy/cola flavour that I often Have tasted in La Stella wines.

Clear light copper In the glass (sediment by design in the bottle). Aromas include ripe stone fruits and orange blossoms. The flavour is of tart peaches, mouthwatering acidity, medium body and a long finish with flavours of fresh sweet oranges or tangerines.

Nice wine. It reminds me of/ and I like it as much as their 2018 Pinot Gris.

Clear deep yellow / gold in the glass. Glass abound with aromas and flavours of buttery oak, baked caramel dessert with a cantaloupe finish. This wine reminds me of a typical big, buttery, oaky Californian Chardonnay. The oak is a bit overwhelming right now, this wine would benefit from another 1-3 years of aging or decanting.

Paired well with Chicken toad In The hole. Definitely Will pair best with a rich, creamy type of meal.

Clear pale purple with a tinge of ruby. Aromas of Smokey raspberries, and blackberries Are present on the nose And on the palate. In addition, The palate includes hints of flint, campfire smoke. The flavours develop and finish with a mild to medium cedar box and hints of mild leather. This is a light red wine with medium acidity, low tannins And a long finish.

Tasted at The winery in 2018: Notes were - “Light, fruit forward, (black berries, currants). Lovely light red, perfect for drinking now with lighter fare like salmon or chicken.” And I still agree. Paired well with mildly flavoured Greek food last night 😊👍

A blend of 3 grapes - Voignier, Roussanne, and Marsanne.

Medium to deep yellow. Aromas of stone fruits abound (overripe peaches) and ripe pineapple. Lots of flavours- ripe peaches, golden delic apples, floral (orange peel/blossom) with hints of vanilla on the mid palate. Long finish - think rich, buttery/creamy brioche bun. Yum! And drat, I only bought one bottle. 🙁

Would be excellent with rich/fatty sashimi, creamy pasta or rich, creamy fish dish.

Drank over 3 nights.
As noted by the winery, this wine is filled with “fresh & juicy red fruit flavours-plum, strwbrry, rspbrry. Lighter body, lingering finish w just the right amount of tannin.”

My notes from the winery-Reminds me of a cross between a Gamay & Pinot Noir. Wine has blackberry jam Aromas and mild, dry tannins.

Only slightly too light for Mediterranean lamb popsicles. Overall, a very nice, all round, highly drinkable red wine that could easily be drank on own or matched with food. Only complaint, A bit pricey for an “everyday” wine.

Light red - good with cheese and crackers and excellent Greek take out (Apollonia Restaurant)

Medium to deep yellow in the glass (almost green). This wine is hard to describe as its aroma and flavour profile is not a typical voignier (only the finish is). Aromas - kiwi? Lime? Green apple? Flavours=aromas plus saline/slate, tingle-y and super mouth watering. Dry, low tannins and alcohol (no hotness). Long, slightly oily.

Unexpected, but nice! Really enjoyed. Thank you Jill, Doug and Magic Places for introducing us to this new BC winery! What a gem.

Medium purple to ruby in the glass. Aromas and flavours of red cherry, raspberry, violet with a raisin-y hint of sweetness. Meh! Not a fan as the Flavours present in a clunky, choppy fashion.

Clear, medium salmon in colour. Not sure if this bottle was off or I’m just not a fan of this vintage. We opened this bottle right after enjoying the 2019 Clos de Soleil Rose. La Stellina was like a clumsy baby brother in comparison. Instead of a seamless blending of flavours, they were distinct and not smooth. The wine had a mild sparkling flavour, with effervescent bubbles present on the tongue. Next was a noticeable sweetness-honey? Followed by Strawberries and the finish was of ripe red melon.

Drank over 2 days. Medium to deep purple/ruby in the glass. Aromas of blueberries, blackberries Abound (like you’re standing in the middle of a patch hanging with ripe fruit), restrained wet gravel with hints of Violets, and dried herbs. Flavours include these plus a hint of pepper, leather and chocolate? Wine is mouth watering with strong tannins (on day one) medium (on day 2). High alcohol (14.7%), so a bit “hot”. Long lingering finish - full-bodied, complex and layered. LVP knows how to make wine!!! (And I always enjoy drinking the fruits of their labour 😋)

Medium purple to ruby in the glass with pink edges. Thin, fast legs. First aromas and flavours of blackberry jam, figs. Medium cedar/oak with medium tannins and a slightly astringency. There often is a jammy sweetness (like a California Zinfandel) in La Stella reds which I’m not A huge fan of. 14.5% alcohol

Paired with leg of lamb done on BBQ, maybe slightly heavy for this wine?
