Very disappointed in this out of magnum. Wooden, sour, most of all just dull. No signs of damage, just not interesting. Purchased this along with several other vintages at an HDH auction.

Terrific, well stored bottle from an original carton. Strawberry and rhubarb nose match the taste perfectly. Everything about this wine is in harmony. Distinctively older but in the best way. Ready to drink. Maybe has three years of goid drinking to go.

Very much underwhelmed. Classic color but forgettable nose and tasted like Meomi. Apologies to Meomi lovers. Acquired from crushwine. Otherwise would question authenticity. I don’t trash wines lightly. Bummed I have three more. Avoid.

Beautiful middle aged modern rioja. Deep hues of red, lush fruits and hints of pepper and oak. Way above the price point. The only thing many of the ‘05s needed was time. Well done!

This was one of the worst wines I have ever tasted. Earthy is fine but this was just barnyard cow manure with no redeeming characteristics. From magnum. Huge disappointment. Angry that I still have bottles. Would not give it away.

Stunning qpr. Was a bit sappy on open, but after a few hours it was exceptional, almost burgundian, dead ringer for a Ted Lemon ‘04 Littorai.

Sometimes you just get lucky. This 1989 was in perfect condition. Beautiful aromas of cassis and tar. Brown edges ruby center. Resolved tannins. Lush mouthfield. Slow burn aftertaste. Perfect.

Exceptional wine. Dark purple color, tad alcoholic on the nose but lush and soft mouthfeel. Blackberry and smoke. Long 20 second finish. Will wait a year or two before opening another to see how it develops. Unclear if it will evolve or begin to fade.

Coming into its prime at ten years. Still a bit hot like an aussie whose power and muscularity can't ever be completely masked, but there is also an elegance to this wine that reminds me of a young cheval blanc. Strawberries and chocolate with a long finish. Will wait five years to try the final bottle. Great effort
