Fantastic Burgundy. Enjoyed with Salmon. Rich yellow color, clean but powerful long finish.

11/11/18, 7:59 PM - I find it hard to find good white Burgundy for a reasonable price. I like the Drouhin St. Veran at about a $12-$15 price point.

I opened this bottle with a high end cheese course to start the night. It's perfect. Will save the remaining four bottles, seems to get even better with time.

11/11/18, 7:57 PM - I have a bottle of the 2009 in my cellar. Have been aging. I'm interested to see how the aged one compares with one two years old.

This one disappointed a bit. Okay, but not worth the money. Too acidic in my view, poor balance. Bought it on sale.

Fun to revisit a CA Chardonnay. It's been a while. Complex, honey, peach, oak. Drank it on a sunny evening, backyard, fish, corn, etc. Enjoyable.

11/11/18, 7:52 PM - For a solid "old style" Calif chardonnay, try a Rombauer. About $30/bottle, traditional notes of oak and softness.

I highly recommend this wine. I have only recently started to experiment with Bordeaux. We did a wine tasting last week, and compared this wine to a Napa Cab. 100% of the participants fell in love with this wine. Smooth, lush, rich, deep. Wow.

Was not bold enough to hold up to ribeye

1/16/16, 11:35 AM - Interesting but I would not have typically thought to drink a Brunello with a Ribeye (maybe a Reserve?). I would think something heavier like a Bordeaux or a Napa Cab for that.

Perfect enjoyment! At the Moment this wine is one of my favorite Bordeaux, i could drink it every day. Sappy, but with a very good structure, notes of tobacco, young leather, lead pencil, cassis, dark chocolate; medium body and weight, very good balanced. An elegant sportsman. Very fresh, profound, sappy and with a quite good, long finish.

8/24/14, 1:46 PM - very similar to my own notes from February! Likewise, one of my very favorite bordeaux at the moment!

I really liked this wine. I'm starting to really get an affinity for nebbiolo grapes. I'm enjoying both the barolos and the barbarescos as of late. Gorgeous blood red color on open. Lighter intensity to the color and a nice balance of fruit and tannins.
