Nice color- youthful, dark and clear. Nose shows pepper, subtle peach with black fruit, subtle red fruit and spice. The alcohol wants to peak through the nose. On the palate, it shows, black fruits, subtle red fruit, some game and pepper and tinges of tar. Dark and bright fruits make a nice showing on a pretty good finish. Good QPR for a wine priced in the mid-teens. Although it has ripe tannins, I'd like to try it again later next winter or spring to see if it develops some more complexity.

Bright color of medium full concentration. Nose shows raspberries and watermelon rind. On the palate, it offers a strawberry, raspberry and watermelon rind flavor core. Good balance, tasty, fresh and dry with a pretty good finish. Although it is a fairly well-made wine that doesn't have the complexity and nuance of a 90pt wine, it is a good rose for the price. I'd like to try this with a shrimp stir-fry. Yummy flavors, not very complex, balanced with a good finish.

Price: $19.99 regular $15.99 sale price

13% ABV

Color: Dark garnet of medium concentration showing pink/clear edges- very healthy appearance, clear.

Nose: Vanilla, cherries, a little cigar box and raspberries

Palate: Vanilla with a little cedar well integrated with cherries, raspberries and a little dark fruit with tobacco. The vanilla and fruit flavors follow up on the back-end for a okay finish. Nice medium body, and balance. I'm surprised with how much of a vanilla character this wine is showing at its age.

Cepage: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot

Color: Purplish garnet with pink edges- it's healthy and fairly young looking.

Nose: Very aromatic nose of showing a glimmer of classic cab 'sweet black olive' followed by a perfume of raspberries, sweet black cherries, cassis and lightly cedared baking spice.

Palate: Very pleasant, smooth dusty tannins and well balanced, the oak is showing good integration at this stage of its evolution. Rich upfront flavors of raspberries, a flash of cranberry followed cherries, blackberries to chocolate covered raspberries with the lightly cedared nutmeg/baking spice flavors. The fruit holds nicely in the frame in a fairly long finish.

I hit this one at a good point. Well done and well worth 32 bones.

Color: Very dark purple with garnet/magenta edges. Healthy and clear deep color concentration.

Nose: Nice complexity....A vegetal soy-sauce fig meets string bean with lots of pure blackberry. The nose showed flavors of cocoa and raspberries earlier.

Palate: Smooth small grain tannins of medium-heavy weight. Well balanced, this wine shows upfront flavors of blackberries, light-clean leather, string bean with subtle vanilla cream. Mid-palate shows some dark raspberries, blackberries, some cherries with some gentle background smoke joining in on the finish. A very good wine that shows additional nuances with more air. A great find for under $20.

Color: dark garnet with medium color density. Magenta at the edges

Nose: Mostly showing plums, raspberries, light vanilla bean and some cedar, a little saddle leather as well. Some sniffs showing tomato and mushroom aromas in the leather component.

Palate: A medium bodied wine with very smooth and supple tannins, seamless transitions and a finish lasting over half a minute. Upfront flavors of plums with a little kiss of vanilla and cedar, some sweet black cherries, cassis and very clean saddle leather, fruity-plummy tomatoes. Very graceful and well balanced, this wine is excellent on its own. However, it would be fantastic with some Italian food.
