Awesome, it just need more time to get to 100. I will probably wait another 6 years to try another bottle.

2014 MacDonald vs 2014 Maybach. Different styles and both were perfect wines for me. Overnight decant for the MacDonald, 6 hours for the Maybach. The the Maybach was slightly fruitier and the MacDonald has a bit more minerality. I’ve never had a wine like the MacDonald, totally unique among Napa cabs.

Drank compared to a 2007, Quilceda creek, the Maybach was slightly better.

Bit of raisen and prine took away from this wine for me.

Not your typical Napa Cab, there were some green and herbal notes which I enjoyed.

The last of 6 Bottles and the best one of them all, this is why you age wine. I think this wine is at its peak.

Big and concentrated, an awesome Napa Cab. Decanted for 8 hours, poured back in the bottle and took to Atlas in Atlanta. It was very young and will definately benefit from 5-10 years of bottle age.

From the moment I opened this bottle, I could tell from the nose it was going to be exceptional. Slow ox'ed for 8 hours, decanted for 1 hour and took to a restaurant in the bottle. Beautiful red fruit and minerality. I could definitely taste the cab franc which was very enjoyable.

This was very good and an awesome value. It's definitely improved over the years. This was the first Barbaresco or Barolo I bought and is the last of my 2003's. Lots of cherries with a rose petal nose.

Decent Pride wine in a difficult vintage. Nice mountain fruit with soft tannins.

Still tannic, but beautiful red fruit coming through. This restored my faith in Barolo.

Loved this wine, beautiful super concentrated fruit with a second layer of minerality. I ran this through a Vinturi decanter and let it sit for an additional 3 hours. I would suggest additional airtime or more aging because it got better with each additional glass.

Decanted for 6 hours. Alcohol and dried cherries and fig. It improved in the glass over time but seemed a little disjointed and was still pretty tannic. I'm hoping this continues to improve with age. Maybe try the next bottle in two years?

This has improved a bit with age. Dark in color with red fruit on the nose, a bit of dried cherries and port on the palate and shaved pencil on the back end.

This keeps getting better with time. I thought the tannins were overwhelming two years ago, they are still there. I think this wine will be at its peak in three years.
