Drank this with Mike R at Crabtree's in Chappaqua (at the bar on a no cork fee Monday). Delicious from the get-go. No tannins. No other notes, but we enjoyed this wine. Dinner was short ribs.

Lovely color, more of a dark ruby garnet color profile with an appealing nose. On the palate, really good dark blackberry fruit, cassis, some plum, hints of coco and nice extraction, really starting to come around with a slow ox. The last bottle was a bit inhibited and showed a hint of acidity, but these aspects again settled down with air. Nice ripe extracted berry fruit is present and I’m pretty sure this wine will pick up better traction with bottle time. As I’ve stated before, I love the 2016 vintage overall, I think that it may be the best since 2013. The good news, it's only a baby in route to a better place. This wine placed 1st in a lineup of 3 NV’s with the Quivet at 2nd and Myriad 3rd at this point.
