Probably not a 100% perfect bottle. Lacking some top fruit and complexity. Nice still, but expected a bit more from a magnum.

A very solid amount of oak on this one. Sad, because it feels like it has nice fruit in the background. Let's revisit in 3-4 years.

Quite developed nose. Black olives, forest fruit, barnyard and some tomato. Not so much fruit left on the palate, still those green tannins present. A victim of the vintage and over the top.

Quite shy and tannic on day one. Opens up on day two. Rather dark, both in color and on fruit. Cherry, roses, tea and balsamic notes. Full bodied, fleshy fruit, good amount of tannins, dry, fresh acidity. Have red about quite some bottle variation, but this bottle (which is from one of the Riserva lots) was really excellent. Good aging potential.
