Deep garnet in color.
Initial uncorking... notes of blackberry, cedar, sandalwood, plum, and spices.
2 hours decanted...deep concentrated aromas of blackberry, plum, blueberry, and pencil shavings.
Silky tannins with red fruits, blackberry, blueberry, black tea. Everything is well integrated.
Paired with lamb loin, great pairing. This is drinkable now but I’m interested to know where this will go with age. Will repour and revisit next day.

More concentrated nose of blackberry, plum, blueberry, black currant, and slight pencil shavings. High tannins with low acid. Serve it cellar temp to bring out freshness. Blackberry, cherry, and blueberry on the palate. I like the amount of tannins present but I could use more acid. Possibly too soon to open, recommend waiting.

6/15/20, 1:04 PM - Thanks, I gotta say I was hesitant to open the bottle. I was hoping to find more tasting notes on the 16s as well. But it’s a nice bottle and it drinks well right now. I have four more in the cellar so I’m excited to see how it evolves.

First impressions... nice nose. Deep garnet in color. Water fall of fruit with dark plum, blueberry, dark cherry, cedar, and slight strawberry on the nose. Velvety plum, blueberry, and sweet raspberry on the palate. Nice mouth feel and bursting fruit flavors with medium tannin.

6/15/20, 1:09 PM - Thank you for the kind words. That bottle blew me away, I attempted to find the right words describing my initial impressions of the wine. That was a fun bottle.

Beautiful sunset orange to salmon in color. With the 2008 vintage it seems to be way too soon to be opened. Disgorged 01/2016. The citrus and fresh apple aromas with strawberry are pleasant, but also seem closed off. Bright unripe strawberry with red currant on the palate. There’s nice mellow tannins present along with bright acidity to allow for cellaring. Cellar this baby!
