Tastes like a weak version of a dry white Bordeaux. It is dry, some minerality-decent summer picnic on ice quaffer.

Dark color, berry nose, surprising depth for this price point. Good tanin, should age well but very good now. Great deal. View it as a very good table wine.

Raisiny, tawny, light bodied, astringent, actually tastes closer to Pinot noir than a cab. Little fruit, flat, boring, don’t waste your money. Rye Brook Wines wrote a description that bears no resemblance to this wine, saying it drinks like a $40-50 cab. More like $7.99 on sale.

Really needs to open up. Sour upon popping, but then begins to elongate within 20 mins. Pleasant upfront cherry with some minerality. Some tannin in the background keeps the balance. Thin to medium bodied. Pasta, pork would pair well. As time has progressed, gets more astringent-40 minutes in. Likeable, slow quaffer. Not a lot of depth-do not see the more complex structure others see.

OK. After 4 hours really opened up. Red cherry, licorice slightly, fuller body, dry tannin finish.

It really needs to breathe. Decant for an hour. A nice odd taste as it is almost like a Sangiovese /Syrah cross. I like it.

Crisp, dry, not fruity though some. As expected but not particularly interesting.

Thin, more interesting than when I first tasted it a few months ago. Feels like a Pinot noir, which I mostly do not like. Not worth $25. A $19 bottle tops.

Light body, simple, not really taste like Merlot. Just red wine.

A good well balanced fruit forward California cab with mid to full body and a pleasant, warm finish.

Decent tanin, overall a plum raisin flavor, a sour background do not particularly like. I had hoped it would balance out over time, but not much better. Has a soft mouthfeel at the end.

Thinnish quaffed dry as one would expect. Sangiovese stamp overall which is fine by me. An interesting blend to me. Some fruit but acid, tannin present as well. Good wine for the price.

This is a very well balanced wine. Medium+ body, nice cherry front balanced by decent tanin and a pleasing long finish. Will age well for a few years, but drinking nicely now.

Does start out with dark fruit and acidic when closed, but as it aerated, became thinner and less interesting as the fruit retreated and the acid remained. Really a decent Chianti with more complexity than most but rather pricey for what ends up as a better than average acidic flat wine. Would not buy again. Needs to breathe three hours. Doubt aging will help much-not enough to work with.

Nicely structured, good balance of fruit, tannin but not as deep as it could be. Very enjoyable.

This was dry, tannic, thin and very poorly balanced. I have made wine at home that was better.

Decent-it seems like it is goi g to go deeper, but stops. Nice tanin, fruit, but does not quite finish. Not enough tanin to carry it forward. I am enjoying it with lamb however.

And I fell for Zachy’s hype! Stopped trusting them 10 years ago, came back 2 weeks ago, and here we are! A decent wine however, medium body, good overall balance and structure. It is dark fruit and moderate tannin, dry finish. OK at $20, not near $25.

This is a very nice, well balanced ST. Have to let it breathe for 2 hours minimum. Earthy, some fruit as one wants, cherry, damp earth.

Dry, lots of Tanin, big but not a good balance of fruit. Not much fruit, but I liked it. Good bass, some midrange. If you like a Malbec, it is a nice blend.

Quite heavy, full bodied. Tannin can overpower, fruit came out after 4 hours. It has improved over the past year, as I drank a bottle a year ago and it was too big, Tary, dense. Not sure why people say fruit forward initially- fruit gets “cigar ashed” out at first. Better balance emerges as it breathes. A quite delicious wine. Let it breathe 3 hours before drinking. Worth $38.

This is a tannic, dry flat wine without nuance. After 3 hours almost no fruit or complexity. A bass line with no strings, nothing else. Not worth $15. Will try again tomorrow. Day 2. Better. Some fruit, acid. Worth 12.

This wine is plain awful. First bottle was well balanced, 3 in a row flat, sour-all flawed? I bought 1 then purchased more. Did not realise rest awful until several months passed. Bought at same store which is usually very good. Beware.

Initial cherry nose, not much after that-simple. Tanin present at a functional level, but this wine needed to be consumed. Good price point-bought 3-4 years ago.

8/10/19 just had last bottle. Could not finish it. Drano might taste better. My fault for keeping too long.

I think this will age well. Well structured. More fruit than immediately emerges-enough tanin to drive it. Fruit will come out in 3-4. Great wine to cellar.

Quite green. Sharp, acidic, softens a bit but no cellar will fix this I suspect.
