A bit criminal to open - needed a triple decant and a few hours and still ... either open the day before or leave for a few years

Maybe in a shut down phase - it was a bit reductive and even after a day did not come around

First of six. Double decant and an hour or two before it opened up. BlackBerry and underbrush, restrained nose and old world style. A definitely slow drinking wine. Tannins not too prominent but I would open the bottle the day before next time!

Was actually not the muscat - but Kakhet varietal - dark red, overripe abricot and raisin with a hint of walnut - a very very interesting sweet wine - "beyond sauternes" towards port but neither.

A bit jammy and perhaps over-extracted but I don't know the indigenous grape. Armenia has very interesting wines!

This was an excellent Verdicchio at a ridiculous price point - 13 euros.

An experiment - 14 year old Canadian niagara pinot noir. Thinned out and the age is showing but certainly drinkable and interesting. But was better 5-8 years ago.

Weird. 10 percent alcohol, bio but very thin. Not sure what the redeeming feature is. Their pendant is great though!

Really very nice for a chambolle villages - underbrush and blackcurrant with a slight menthol licorice after note. Medium mouth finish. Looking forward to the 1e cru.

Smoother and rounder than areni noir grapes, with a young tannic edge but bright red berries (red currant, strawberry) and a medium finish. Armenia makes some lovely wines!

Patience paid off - this wine was not at all over the peak, and was well integrated, soft tannins, no oxidation or sweetness,

A great quality-price deal, finesse, medium finish, on the citrus and lychee side.

after a 2 hour decant, lovely round soft tannins, almost chocolate notes, with dried cherries and fig. Very nice - sorry some people had bad bottle experiences; it was definitely a good quality/price Barbaresco if one is patient

Three hours opened, one hour decant, drank over an evening. Evolved nicely, but always a bit restrained, with a long mouth finish, some bramble, red currant, to go with the notes of underbrush and pencil lead. Excellent, and in its window.

open a couple of hours, then a decant. Could have used longer. Like all Confuron NSGs - brilliant, but a bit tightly wound at first.

Quite an interesting experience. Aged, so thinned out a bit, but still rich and a round mouth feel, a touch oxidized but still distinctive crystalline.

A lovely offering, but not the best year. Medium-length finish, very round mouth feel and well integrated all across the palate. I prefer the Boudots for its flintiness, but won't turn this down. Needed at least an hour in the decanter, and developed well in the glass.

Well, drank it alongside a similar priced (from the producer) JJ Confuron, and I have to say it did not shine. A nice, long finish, entry level Nuits st. Georges from this producer, but the quality-price ratio is off, to my mind.

This was a lovely simple villages - actually better than that. over one hour it smoothed out, with medium secondary notes and a nice "tart" finish. Not a great rqp, but ok at 29 USD.

This was an unusual experience. I was concerned after reading previous notes since I have four bottles. Upon opening, it was exactly as Ltim said - rusty brown, acidic up front and not much of a finish. Oh well, I opened something else. Two hours later, the colour had deepened ruby (usually it goes the other way, no?), and there was a nice licorice and dried fruit up front note, and medium finish, with some spice. Another hour and it was just so-so again. Not bad, but a bit of an experiment.

Low alcohol which explains its thinness. But no comparison (quality or price) with comparable pinot noirs from B.C. (Stoneboat, tastes side-by side). Medium finish, light tannins, slim grip.

Definitely needed a long decant and air. When it came around, it was a bit of damp leather and tar, and mossy underbrush. Not exactly much fruit and a bit "difficult". Not sure in which direction it will evolve.

Worth the wait - almost everyone else (including me) drank this too young. Faded pepper, muted sweet notes, and nice medium length finish. Not "gluey" or overly fruity. And dense colour in the glass; paired well with tajine.

First of a case, just entering its drinking window with a long (2-3 hour) decant. Fruit forward, with a slight pencil lead mid-palate and medium finish of woody underbrush. Looking forward to the rest of the case over the next few years

First of four, opened 1.5 hours. Needs more air or more time, but already in a nice place. A bit tight, but a few lychee and citrus notes, with a crystalline mid palate.

Ageing well, but relatively uncomplex bordeaux blend. Started out very fruit forward, almost syrupy, then opened up a bit, but still not many second notes. Nothing exceptional, but nice enough.

I agree with plusvini - better Canadian viognier than many French ones and no bitter touch. A bit short on perfumed and floral notes but it may be the style. Nicely done!

In an excellent place now. First notes of leather and tar blew off, followed by a rich, long finish, bramble berries with hints of a strong tannic grip and a slightly flinty finish. Very nice.

A little unsure about this. Not crisp, but rather a hint of oxidation, fairly rich and long finish, but perhaps it was just not a perfect bottle.

Drank with the 05 Clos Vougeot and Vosne Romanée. I personally preferred this one, but it might be because the other two needed more air. Very slightly perfumed, sweet, honeysuckle and almost "lavender" note. Mid-length finish and round mouthfeel. Slight bricking.

Drank horizontal with a 2005 Vosne Romanee and Chambolle Musigny from Confuron. Of the three, the Clos might have needed more time, but it was still distinctively Confuron, dense, dark, rich, pencil lead and a light tannin touch. Very nice indeed.

Perhaps needed 4 hours or more in decant, still a little subdued, but nonetheless with lots of power and length. Drank with 08 and 10 and it was not more evolved! Wish I had more hidden away.

Drank in a vertical with the 2005 and 2010. Was the best of the three - although perhaps 05 would have needed more time. The 2008 was open, muscular, with heady nose, a grippy mid-palate and a fairly long finish. Underbrush, blackcurrant, dark berries, and a hint of sweetness. Delicious.

Drank my last bottle and glad to see my earlier note rings true (from 7-8 years ago). Tannins receded, round mouth feel, forward and modern style and a short mid-palate grip. A bit jammy - not unpleasant at all. But also not exceptional. Will keep but not much evolution in sight methinks.
