We are Granche lovers and this is an excellent bargain!
Red
Very nice! Not as complicated as Lafite but a nice everyday wine. Note: drink the whole bottle after it’s opened ... even with removing the air for overnight storage, not as nice the next day.
Red
Blackberry and spice. Very delicious. While it drank quite nicely this evening with pasta and red sauce, I will hold the other two bottles for a couple of years because I think it will age fantastically.
Red
So I’m pretty sure I heard angels singing when I got my first whiff of this! I honestly wasn’t expecting much. But it’s perfectly smooth and delightful! Got three bottles and I think I will be drinking them right away...they are definitely ready!

1998 Château Raymond-Lafon Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)

Absolutely delicious pear pineapple and honey with peach notes, a hint of butter and citrus...basically a light lovely tropical cake in a bottle!
White
Lime rind and underripe gooseberries...some pear in the mid palette- a tart Sauv for sure...but one that I like. A few minerals round it out. Drink it alone if you like that end of the spectrum or pair it with heavy food that has a bit of grease - it will cut it nicely!
Red
Maybe I should’ve waited longer to open it. But not my fave...none of us really liked it.

Might have waited too long but that doesn’t seem possible. Seemed like it had a lot of oak added to make up for what?

I think I waited too long, sadly. It got better after opening for awhile...but with all the separation it was definitely not at its peak.
Red
Cherry and is that a bit of pomegranate? Definitely red fruit and very fresh. I taste a tiny bit of dry leaves...but maybe it’s just that fall is in the air here!
White
Not my fav...maybe past it’s prime?

2016 Xanadu Exmoor Margaret River Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Nice fresh Sauv

2016 Exitus California Red Blend (view label images)
We bought a bottle to try because of my husbands love for bourbon. Wasn’t our “thing”. The flavors together just didn’t work for us.
Red
2009 Château Larrivet-Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Leather and plumb combined with an oily mouth and bits of loamy soil - it’s dark rich and delicious

Very buttery and slight bit of pear pencil shavings and herb that I can quite place...oak is the most dominant taste and it was purposeful but not my favorite, I like it better faintly in the background- but I loved the super buttery feel...perhaps one of the oiliest I have ever had.
White
2016 Xanadu Exmoor Margaret River Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Fruit forward - Apricot and pear on the nose and tongue. A little hint of citrus. Less minerals than typical Sauvignon Blanc.
Red
Plumb and earth. Some blackberry and spice. The slightest tinge of anise. Tannins come out relatively smoothly in the mid-palette. Nice.
Red
Surprisingly fresh blueberries cherry a little almond and spice and a subtle touch of sweet oak
Red
Meaty notes mushrooms and spice - a more substantive CDP - held up to steak and Caesar
Red
Dark berries and black currant. Medium burgundy color. Alcohol up front but nice. Pepper and minerals. Larkspur stems on the nose.
White
An oily note like citrus rind oil or flower oils...it gives it almost a buttery feel but not quite ... peach but not sweet peach on the mid palate...definitely need to drink the 6 bottles I have left in the next year as I think it may be starting to fade...

Lemongrass and lime, not as mineral as NZ Wines. There is a little bit of grapefruit rind. Has a slightly buttery mouth feel - unusual for sauv but good.
White
Have had a few bottles of this now. Consistently nice.

If you like Veuve Clicquot you will like this. It’s nice and light. Not extremely complicated. Great after a long hot hard day...this one was a 350 ml bottle...it won’t last until morning;)
Red
Some say this is past its prime I disagree. Leather, mulberry, dark cherry, tinge of cedar, there is a slight tartness to it that I can’t put my finger on...maybe sour cherry. A warm twist of baking spices and is that baked celery? Smooth, velvety tannins. Bought back in 2013 to cellar...sad this was my last bottle.
White
Still delicious! Cut the high beef fat coated bone marrow stew I made...I know… You’re thinking why didn’t I drink a red with this. But this was nice on a hot night and paired well...like “deglazing my palette”.
Red
Lots of very ripe fruit and pencil shavings, plumb and graphite shades of red pepper and black pepper not bad for price would have been great with pizza.
White
Still like it. Dry but flowers, fruit and perfume. And, there’s a subtle and pleasant slight bitterness in the back of the tongue.
Red
Perhaps the last bottle that I drink I’ve gone bad but this one was much better and had all the Velvety smoothness of CDP. Did another Verticle with the 2013. Both delicious.
Red
Easy drinking inexpensive Rhône from Trader Joe’s - I need to get more while they have 2016s!
White
This is a surprisingly refreshing white from Spain. I would drink it for the label alone! It’s lovely.

Pronounced tannins calmed down after an hour or so. Drinkable but the flavors hadn’t quite melded together.

Nice strong tannins - very dark purple, almost black, but not bricking at all. Cigar, earthy moss, slight hint of citrus rind, a bit of blackberry. This wine will still be delicious in 10 years.

Apricot Citrus and green apple and just a touch of wood. Minerals as normal from New Zealand Sauv but the surprise is that the salt stands out more than the granite almost like a Muscadet.

Bought at University Club Tasting April 2019 - spicy and grippy from “mad scientist” - And very unique in that each bottle, and though it is the same wine in the same vintage, has a different picture of a beautiful girl and a car. I’m going to hold onto this awhile longer before I drink my bottles.
White
Most amazing flower perfume on the nose - starts kind of boring and watery but finishes with fruit and flowers and perfume, I wanted to take a shower in it
White
Tastes like golden delicious apples, silky, a touch butter at the end, dry
White - Sparkling
Light and citrus - especially citrus rind - twinge bitter notes from that but they are very complimentary and add to the very mineral driven sparkles.

Lime rind/skin in abundance, stones and straw. The lime rind gives it just a hint of bitter and sour in a way that is nice. There’s just a touch of creaminess to it - but JUST a touch. Lime rind is definitely predominant.

Full body, deep garnet, medium tannins. Taste of leather, cedar and spice. Plum and black cherry seem to be the most noticeable fruit. Definitely improves after it has been open for an hour or so. Don't just pop this one and try to drink it.

I admit it...I’m a sucker for paisley! So the label had me at Hello! Usually I would be leery of such colorful and nice packaging on an inexpensive wine - wondering, what’s to hide? Yellow/green color. I smell grass. I taste grass. And rhubarb leaves. But there’s also dominating pineapple with delightful minerals. Add JUST a touch of creamy texture and it’s surprisingly more complex than one would expect! The Spanish are colorful and fun people - that must account for the label.

Strawberry and dry - a few hints of lemongrass. Believe it or not, let it breathe a little - it’s better that way.

Nice wine - kinda light - not sweet - hints of baking spices - strawberry and raspberries - not very complex but very pleasant - could drink with light foods - but is mellow and almost refreshing on its own
