Good fruit intensity through the palate, but fails to prosecute the finish - tinny and too acidic for much pleasure. OK. Thought it better when tasted at the cellar door.

Seems prematurely advanced. Soft, round palate showing caramalised apple and tropical fruit. Lacks intensity and drive on the finish. Based on other reviews, sounds like I got a dud bottle.

Bought from the cellar door in 2016 or so. Right in the zone now, don't wait. Plums, dark cherries - the fruit a touch stewed now - hints of chicory and earth. Soft through the palate and finish, tannin and acid integrated. For my taste, lacking a little life and bounce.

Final bottle. Nice but no fireworks. Seems to be in a bit of a dip/slump, given previous bottles.

Lovely wine. Yellow stonefruit, grapefruit, hint of nut. Balanced acidity. In the zone for me and unlikely to improve. Drink up.

CO with both elegance and heft, if that makes sense. Dark berry fruits, plums and cherries too, with a background cooking spice/char note (not smoke). Oak is not overdone (hurrah) and the wine feels balanced and lovely.

Lovely wine, if you like the style. Decaying rose petals, leather, strawberries and assorted other red berries. Acid prominent on the finish, tannins integrated. Easy drinking, but with a sneaky complexity.

In a good place now. Fair bit of pineapple as well as Meyer Lemon and lime cordial, balanced by cleansing acidity.

Decent enough, but no fireworks. Lemon, lime, lemongrass and a pleasant acid structure. No X factor and nothing to suggest great improvement either.

Drinking very, very well now. Lovely balance of red and blue fruits, spice, tannin and acid. Probably at its peak I feel, but in no danger of fading any time soon.

I thought this wine may have been past its best. Boy was I wrong! Right in the zone (so drink up if you have any). The primary red fruits are now tempered by tertiary development, tannin and acid are both integrated and there is more depth and complexity. Fantastic QPR.

On the decline. A mouthful of black cherries, black liquorice strap, cassis and dark plums. Short length and no tannins. I can understand the style, but it isn't one for me.
Red
Well past its best. Insipid, unbalanced, no fruit and jangly acid. Pass.

Stone fruit, citrus, integrated spicy oak. In a good place, no rush but unlikely to get any better. Fantastic QPR.

Lovely wine. Think GW from TWF may have been a little tight with his points for this wine. Lemon and lime, tart green apple, distinct mineral characters. Excellent intensity and drive, palate is certainly fuller/thicker than some but not heavy. Excellent - dissapeared quickly.

Good QPR example of this type of lunchtime Claret. Oak is not too prominent, small black and blue berries, earthy undertone. Good support for a meal, without being the centrepiece.

Balance is key here. Red fruits, spice, smoky oak, length and line. A very fine wine, without the X factor.

Still so young and fresh, you'd never guess the age. Red cherry and blue berry fruits, spice and integrated oak, balanced tannins and acid. Yet not overt in any sense. All in balance. Very nice.

Lovely drinking now. Apple, citrus, mineral/quartz. Perhaps lacking a little complexity, but happy with the QPR. Now or later.

Very pleasant without any fireworks. Potential is there, but the softness of the acid suggests drinking up.
Rosé
Disappointing. Despite a dry palate, the fruit flavours are dull/flat and the wine lacks vibrancy.

Best bottle, and my last bottle. Sweet lemon, lime cordial, but balanced by subtle acidity. Not complex or deep, but very easy to drink.

Lovely wine. Red and green apple, hint of sweet lemon, touch of tropical. Balanced, good length, excellent underlying acid. Very drinkable.

Age had certainly added some flesh to the bones here! Rich, ripe, plenty of fig and nougat and spicy oak and yellow stone fruit (peach and nectarine), and a phenolic texture/grip that really says "I need food". A little too much of everything on Day 1, had calmed down by Day 2 and become far more enjoyable.

Very enjoyable. Lemon and lime juice, green apple, a smudge of RS for body and weight. Perhaps lacking a little length, and not particularly complex, but still goes down a treat.

Thought I should try this, after being awarded 3 trophies at the Clare Valley Wine Show and 2 trophies at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show. Grabbed for $16 at Dirty Dans. And for $16 I think it is a ripper. Aromatics of talc, citrus and white flowers. Palate shows a touch of RS, green apple joining a juicy and approachable combination of lemon and lime. Acid is well settled and the RS / TA balance is spot on. Don't hesitate.

Found this very enjoyable. Squashed red fruits, touch of cold tea leaf, a wine built more on acid than tannin. May be a little skinny for some. And yes, I agree with the other tasters - the finish is short, almost abrupt.

Excellent wine, although it needed 3 days to come together. Squished red berries, new leather, anise and rose petals. Tannins tamed by Day 3, now in balance with the salivating acidity. Just a delicious drop.

Night 1 - gooseberry, lemon, lime were subdued by an obvious vanillan/oak character. Night 2 - better, more in balance, the vanilla was less obvious and the fruit more prominent.

In a transition period. Nose of honey baked Green apple, lime pith and lemon juice. Palate has a nice suppleness to it, pulling tight at the end, lemon and lime juice with just a hint of honey-ed development. Perhaps a little short on the finish but overall very pleasant.

Delicious, well made wine. Green apple, white flowers, lime pith and pebbles. Does it lack X factor? Perhaps. Do I care? No. Just good drinking.

Superb wine. Texture, flavour, length and complexity. Distinctly Riesling but so much more. Salted almonds, lime pith, mineral water, lemon juice. And more. Challenges the very good Germans, at a lot less a bottle!

I failed to leave my second bottle for 10 years. Drank the second a year later and was not as impressed. Again, the acid line and balance were superb, but the fruit was subdued. Perhaps entering a dull patch. Much better was the 2019 Alter Weg from Frankland Estate, drunk at the same time.

This wine has repaid the faith, and come together. Dark fruit, hint of dark earth, tannin and acid well meshed. Perhaps a little biased as this is the style I like, but found this very nice indeed.

This wine has blossomed over the last 3 years. Apple, citrus, flint and smoke, outmeal too. Everything just so. Balanced and with great length. Brilliant wine.

Has now tipped over the edge. Still drinkable but past its best.

Having been to Oregon I was aware of the style of Pinot Noir generally produced there. This is one of the better examples I think - yes, it has the extraction and flesh you expect but the oak treatment is balanced and the wine itself finishes inherently savoury, with forest floor and anise characters. A wine of some interest.

A good example of Burgundy at a fair price. Dark cherries and some red cherries, a purity to the fruit, perhaps a hint of spice on the finish. For me, lacked intensity and complexity.

Age has not wearied this wine! Still a big, big with obvious oak. That said, it is in balance and the length is excellent. Benefits from some food. Served blind to my tasting group, all of whom - on being told it was Pinot Noir - said "Central Otago" in unison.

Electric balance of sugar and acid. Developed colour, flavours of spiced lemon and yellow peach. Beautiful wine.

No idea how this wine ended up in my cellar. VinoMofo perhaps? Anyway, not at all bad. 14.5% ABV but hides the booze in a lovely medley of squishy dark fruit, smooth tannin and good length. Not complex but enjoyable and sometimes that is all you want.
