Explosive aromatics....menthol, dried flowers, Rose petals, asphalt, white pepper, cinnamon, star anise, herbs, strawberry, raspberry, clove, sour cherry.....endless
Palate is lush with such power and density but the acid is completely on point...providing impeccable balance. Flavors from the nose continue and lead to a long, layered and extremely long finish....wow....did I say long?
Power, delicacy, lift...reference point traditional Barolo

Pretty mix of tart red cherry, fine herbs, red flowers, white pepper, star anise, fennel and balsamic glazed strawberry.
Palate leans towards a leaner vintage...but I like it...high acid, ripping red fruit and florals augmented by soaring spice and herbal notes.
Finish is long....this is a masterclass of how to work a tough vintage.

Nose is insane...ripe cherry, strawberry, pommegranite, candied flowers, rhubarb, pink grapefruit, tea leaves and incense...ridiculously complex
Palate has a pretty textural weight but clensing acid makes you run for another sip (and glass)
Finish is long...and oh so complex. One of the better rose wines I have had in recent years.

Ditto to what Wine Canuck said....this is way better than more recent bottles of Beaucastel showing that dusty character with higher acid, pure tart cherry, orange rind, herbs and grilled meats.

Very nice.

Nose is quite expressive....lemon zest, lime custard, hazelnut brioche, salted caramel and white flowers....also oozing a pretty mineral undertone that gives you a sense of how razor sharp the palate is.
Palate marries the acidic cut with pretty citrus fruits wrapped in a pretty saline, floral and biscuity nuances.
Finish is long.

Medium Gold,

Initially the nose it a bit muted but it opens up with some time. Nose of ripe yellow apple, white flowers and ripe pear, wet slate, ginger and roasted nuts.
Palate is lush but not overblown at all. This definetly leans into the oxidative side but not too much.
Finish is long with moderate complexity. This could use a touch more bottle age I think .

Pale ruby....colour is fascinating....definetly ruby...not salmon....dark...almost looks like Nebbiolo
Dark red berry fruit, fresh herbs, and minerals dominate the nose and transition to tart brambly cherry, raspberry and pommegranite, chalk and spice on the palate.
This is so vinous and really belongs on the table with food. A Champange to contemplate.

Palate is really quite pretty as well....it marry's the pretty primary flavours with a wild sauvage game character that I love. There is a little bit of heat but nothing to agressive.
Finish is medium.

Great traditional Nebbiolo....curious to see where this wine goes with some bottle age.

The grapes (100% Pinot Noir) are allowed to macerate for several days before the juice is drawn off and it is this 'soak' that gives the colour and much of the body and flavour to the wine. This technique is now extremely rare in Champagne--it is a demanding method of vinification that requires grapes with an excellent degree of maturity.

Pale Salmon
Nose is so unique...cranberry, strawberry, smoke, herbs, minerals and subtle floral notes...this has a wild edge that I just love.
The palate has a really creamy texture and opens with strawberry cream candy, mint, wild herbs, pain grille, red flowers and spice.
Finish is long....this is fantastic....stunning actually.

The grapes are foot-trodden, fermentation occurs with native yeast in neutral vessels (either stainless steel or resin tanks), the wines are pressed off using an old basket press, and are raised in old 600L demi-muid barrels. i.e. Super traditional using whole cluster fermentations. The vine material comes from massale selections cuttings of Serine from Clusel-Roch planted in steeply terraced, gneiss soils, yielding a very feminine, Côte Blonde-esque expression of Syrah. Only one barrel was made this year, so quantities are extremely limited.

Nose shows grilled meat, olive brine, red and a touch of black fruit, smoke,

Fresh green apple, chaulk, minerals, candied white flowers, faint tropical pinapple and guava.
