Light translucent red. Very nice nose.

On the palate, bright, tart fruit, but not overly sour. Raspberry, white pepper - nice balance.

Good wine.

No overly sweet fruit bomb here. No sweet dried fruit.
Tart, aromatic, floral, leather, earth, raspberry, blueberry.
A touch of subtle spice, bitterness and warmth on the end.
Love it.

Similar to my last review. I'll bump it up a point but no more

I don't get all the hype. I purchased this with high hopes based on the RAVE reviews here....but was completely let down. Harsh, a bit bitter. Tart acidity...but really not overly acidic. I can see the wine working for some, but not for me.

I'm glad I purchased only ONE bottle rather than the six I was contemplating. There are soooooo many zins out there that are much better.

For $13, this is a steal. Wonderful balance of fruit and spice, leather and tobacco on the finish. You can hardly beat this easy going Spaniard.

OUTSTANDING. Absolutely delicious - a combination of sweet spiciness, perfectly balanced acidity. Slight leather/tobacco, cola on the finish. This is one of the better Turley Zins - and we've tasted most all of them. Spectacular.

Popped the cork, Vinturi into the carafe, then poured a glass. Long decant NOT necessary with this one. (Minimum to negligible sediment).

Still a bit tart, acidic, thin for my tastes. This bottle is a tad bit better than the last. But still not a big fan

Very nice wine - everyone loved it. Much better than the entry-level Louis Martini Cab. For the price (wine.com + discount) of $22 I'm very pleased.

Upon opening, typical jammy Caymus Cab. However, as the night wore on, the flavor profile turned very rich, overly dried fruit. The cork seemed to be possibly compromised, with streaks of red (one reaching to the top.) I wouldn't say the bottle was corked...but I think something is going on here. I have one more bottle - I think I will remove the foil to inspect the cork, as the glass is a pale green that will allow inspection.

Opened and decanted - first impressions were the best. Very soft, well-integrated....but finish was a bit flat. Fear it may be passing through the end of drinking window. This is my only bottle (gift from a friend) so I have nothing to compare to. A tad bitter around the edges, but all in all a good wine. Hope you've drunk yours already!

We have so many various Turley zins from virtually all of thier source vineyards across several vintages.
This one's GREAT.

Drank at Shakespeare in the park - so it was PnP, no air. Very good out of the bottle, but really improved with an hour or so of air.
Great balance of fruit, spice, with low acidity. LOVED it - excellent value for the price.

Very nice merlot. Lower acidity, which is nice in this case. Not overly sweet - fairly well balanced. Slightly bitter on the finish, but not a deal breaker. Will definitely buy again at this price.

Delicious Turley Zin. This is a rich, lucious, dried-fruit forward zin - very much New World style. I knew right out of the bottle that I loved it - a bit of air helps but it doesn't need much. Wish I had more!!!

I really like this wine.
Great balance of old/new world style.
Aromatic nose leads to deep richness on the palate, with long finish. Found at Costco for $26 and that's a steal!

Tasted at event at St. Louis Wine Market - hosted by Colin from the winery. Tasted Lillian Syrah vertical from 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. Favorite was the 2015 - more well-rounded, full, more fruit. The 2013 and 2014 were a bit more acidic. All excellent of course (we're splitting hairs here - ha!) Delicious wines all of them.

Day 2 showed a bitter finish.

Nice, soft, full. Well-rounded soft tannins. Nose was short, not much there. Good wine, but needs another layer of spice, more aromatics. I suppose it was a little flat, but still very nice.

We had this by the glass at a restaurant, and so seeked it out and bought a bottle at our local wine store.

Love this wine. Very good balance of fruit, body and acidity. Deep, rich, lingering finish. This wine punches well above its weight. One review compared it to a CdP, which I can easily see.

Going back to buy thier last six bottles. At $20 this is a great, reliable every day drinker.

Very nice, unassuming basic CdR. It's simple, but I like it enough. Good weekday wine, especially for the price. I may buy again but I won't seek it out

I'm upping the rating on this bottle. From 92 (last year) to 93.
Decanted for 2 hours, drank with dinner over another 2 hours. This wine can stand on its own with just some cheese...or it can go well with dinner - but keep in mind it's a pretty big wine.
DELIGHTFUL.
Deep, purple red that coats the glass as you swirl, giving a visual indicaion of what's to come. Wonderfully balanced with muted acidity, and the jammy fruits do not overpower.
GREAT wine.

Baby Caymus. You know what you're in for.
