A solid wine. On the sweeter side for a Reisling but it didn’t disappoint. Perfect for this hot summer day!!! Prominent peach aroma and flavor. Saline was certainly present. Well done.

It was really good and held in the cellar very well.

Delicious medium plum flavors and smooth finish. What I’ve come to expect from Turley.

Loved it.
Spanish Mashiago Cheese, Medeteriana Hummis. With the 1973 Gran Riserva Rioja. Gentle on the nose with Very light hints of watered down dark berry juice. Slight hint of barnyard smell. Taste of dark cherry, raisin, touch of strawberry- a brown clay finish. Medium finish. It was good. A ton of fun- and consistent with an older wine.

About a 1 1/2 hour decant before a medium rare prime rib !! Perfect.

It worked well because Tannnins were perfect for the meat. Fruit was there dark cherry, some vanilla but subtle Went seemlessly with the prime rib.

It was excellent.

Decent wine. A bit vegetal on the palet, but could have been influenced by the food. Second glass was spoy on. Probably because of extra time to decant.

This wine has to breathe. But when it does, it delivers nice flavors one would expect, but this vintage doesn't knock your socks off.

Still delivera the silky fruit flavors.

Nose: cranberry, ripe strawberries, wet paper, hint of barnyard but pleasant, dried red flowers. Palate: cranberries dominated but not bad, white pepper, medium long finish. Right at the end there was slight bitterness. Overall - a solid 90. good wine.

Smelled and tasted of raisins - received it as a gift and probably not stored will prior to my receipt of the wine. Had a vinegar finish. hope all the bottles are not like that.

Not bad-- Strong Vanilla on the nose for about 20 minutes after opening, almost couldn't smell anything else. Not surprised - knew it needed to breathe. It became vanilla with baked plums and blueberry, and a bit of sweetness of cherry hard candy. Smelled nice and inviting. Expected the nose to be put off a bit by the 14.5% alcohol - but wasn't at all.

Had tastes of dark cherries, dark cherry candy, with a bit of sweet tobacco tingle on the tongue.

Overall nice-- not totally sure it was worth the 28 bucks versus a solid wine from Paso at the same price point, but have a few more bottles so will be trying it a different times.

solid 91, almost gave it a 92. The nose was very very nice- Dark Cherries, Vanilla, Cigar Tobacco, bit of cooked blueberry. There was a hint of green stem, but it all worked together very nicely.

Smooth tasting and easy drinking. Dark Cherries, Vanilla with a slight peppery flavor on the finish. Excellent. Medium length on the finish

Solid 91.

Smooth drinking. After opened for 40 minutes developed clear cola notes. It was very pleasant to go with dark berry aromas. Expected a longer finish - it was 3-4 seconds long but of a light black pepper kick at the end of the finish.

Excellent wine.

Had this with Oxtails. OMG is all I can say. It was a perfect pairing.

This is an excellent Syrah. Dark Cherries and Plums smell with tobacco. Smooth tastes of fruit, but strong black pepper flavors.

Would be fine to drink alone, but even better when complimenting Oxtails. A sloid 92 points.
