Heavy malo blew off and dark char and bramble fruit left. Dusty hunts of tar and black tea. Very nice but finish washes out quickly. Slightly tart.

Nice, big bodied and a bit of heat but delicate flavors and good balance. Good heft without too much weight. Bit of graham cracker oak.

Started out 96 at pop and pour. Decanted 3 hours and it lost some of it's early magic. I am convinced that some pinots have an early ephemeral stage that often whisps out quickly. A kind of sassafras, mint and rose powdery lightness that alights after a few minutes. Sipped it over 8 hours total and evolved nicely. 93 by the end.

Pure, rich, musky chard fruit. White flower and light tropicals.Lemon zest and slight, pithy bitter finish lingers. Hint of petrol. Bigger styling goes will with food. Cowgirl creamery Mt Tam, olives and crackers were perfect.

Opens with some clean funk, after a couple hours that mellows into a sweet, dried soil character. Reasonable fruit, all in balance. Lovely 5 years ahead of it.

Much heavier on the bell pepper than the previous bottle. Takes a little of the sheen off of it for me.

I was worried when I pushed the cork through with an ah-so (hadn't used one in a while). But bottle is fine. So delicious, these get better and better. Racey animal, cola nut, umami af. Delicate oak frame, mouthwatering acids and innocuous but sufficient tannic base. Hints of rose and orange blossom after a bit of air. That fresh grape quality that reminds you of when you first started getting a bit drinky on nice wine. A country wine to impress city folk.

Charred bacon fat, sois bois, black cherry, damp moss, stewed cranberry, walnut. Full body pinot. Rich and dark w/ sufficient acid and silky, robust tannin. Very nice.

Gorgeous, light nectarine on PnP with a delicate backbone of petrol and, perfectly faint, capsicum. Bone dry, saline/savory finish. Very nice. After a couple hours grass and more typical lime/grapefruit notes
arise.

Typical grass and tomato leaf/cat pee that I very much dislike from New Zealand but with a lovely creosote petrol backbone that cuts through and balances it nicely, much more complex than SB thrice the price. Subtle tropical, lime leaf, mineral core. Surprisingly vivacious while still a serious wine.

Def improving and will sit on remaining bottles for a couple years. Big meaty sous bois, flint, smoke, black cherry pie, whiffs of woodsy vanilla, charred bacon fat. It's big for a pinot, voluptuous.
Tannis are tiny grained and silky but perhaps not as present as I'd like, so maybe I'll hold for a year and drink up within 3.

Ascending ratings here show it is clearly hitting its stride. Candied rose petal, black tea, dry-tilled earth. Acid is waning so >2 years prime drinking.

Solid, excellent balance between rich, musty chard and piquant tang. Bare hint of oaky vanilla to smoove it out. Poolside from 375.

Really want to like it so I can buy some 1.5L and 3L local retailer has on fire sale prices...

At PnP reminds me of the '90s toasted marshmallow Merlot fad. Boozey, weak finish. Barest hint of tangy fruit hiding under all that damn diacetyl. Whiff of sulfur at finish?

Buttery popcorn mostly gone day two but so is everything else except some heat and some pepper.

"70-79 C Below/Average" but allowing some people like wine that tastes of margarine. 84, I guess.

No score or note this time around because I can’t smell it over my late morning sunscreen. But this is one of my wife’s favorite go to bargain summer sippers.

Very decent for $13. Everything in the right place but a bit 'hollow' as another reviewer noted. Smoking QPR for a summer BBQ wine.

Spritzig, thin body, bright and tangy carbonic-like fruit. HUGE but sweet animal. Decanted for 1 1/2 but could have used another few hours to dissipate bandaid-y brett notes and 2ndary ferment carbonation. Opened considerably over a few hours. Probably would have been delicious day 2 but with quick decant at a restaurant it was lacking. Tangy, thin, very sweet (not sugary) barnyard fruit.

Meant as random BBQ wine. Drank out of stemless, which I strongly dislike but that's what the hosts had, so didn't feel like I really could get intimate with this wine.
But I wished I'd been able to because the incredible floral aromas kept flooring me. Well made and quaffable and there was a bright, soft floral nose that was just beautiful. Like tiny, fresh grape blossoms on a warm central coast evening. I'm off to find another bottle – or case!. For a sub-$20 wine this is QPR grand slam.

Nice, somewhat basic. Prob needed more than the 3 hours air I gave it. If I had more I'd wait a couple years. Straightforward profile, secondary emerging. Good steak frites wine. Love that it comes in a 375ml. Also, wish I'd opened a 750ml, maybe it deserves another point...

Beautiful and pure but not much more so than similarly sourced fruit for half the price. I expect it might be more interesting in 2023.

What! 95+ if just based on QPR.
This wine is phenomenal for it's price point and very nice for 3x its price point. Sturdy oak frame and mustiness, minerality, round but with a clean acid cut. Perhaps just barest of threshhold RS, unctuous. Barest whiff of VA and mostly invisible sulfur notes - both of which are subtle enough to add to the complexity.

Good, gettin flabby. Brick red. Gentle Brett blows off to blueberry and dried orange peel which in turn dissipates to a nice mellow old dusty Pinot w/ touch of forest floor. Almost no acid left. Good value and was prob a 90+ 2 years ago.

Delicious in a fresh, jubilantly tangy way. Only a touch of the brioche and lees I’m generally drawn to, replaced with a crisp, spry yellow apple acidity over delicate marzipan that makes this hard to slow sip. I’m usually a half glass on special occasion sparkling drinker but I skipped out on the white pairing to keep drinking this through the pasta course.

Still pure and complex. Huge rich fruit and big, languid body. Tiniest hint of mentholy, minty green that helps clear the palate so, while it lingers on the finish, the sappiness melts away quickly. Really fun wine with another decade+ in it.
