Plums
Spice
Savory - leather, cured meat
Mineral - slate? Dusty...

Dry
Plums
Med+ body
Med+ acid
Med+ alcohol
Med+ tannins - fine and grippy
Med+ finish

Overall a well made wine - no obvious flaws. Drinkable now b could go another 5-10 years i think. Initial integration of fruit and tannins is underway, secondary characters are quite nice. Good but not magical - not yet.

Personal thoughts - good but don't really like this more muscular style of nebbiolo. Wondering if more bottle age will tone it down? (Probably unlikely)

Edit: other tasters noted red fruit and floral notes. I get the floral part but can't say I'm getting red fruit on this bottle. Weird.

Very short on the palate, not much impression of fruit, what there was seemed dusty and dried.

Overall meh. Bargain bin buy but would not get another bottle. Tannins too harsh for the fruit- by the time they're manageable it'll be like drinking tea colored alcohol.

Edit: after a 90min decant - tannins have greatly moderated. Now drinkable but not entirely pleasant. Finish is short but alcohol burn lingers - a little unbalanced.
