For an unknown producer, from a marginal DOC (Taurasini, not Taurasi) in a not very good year in that area, priced at about US$15 before discounts, this was amazingly good. Balanced and classy.

crisp, balanced, not terribly distinctive but seems flexible enough to be fine with many foods

Quite tasty. Smooth, probably won't get much better, but has the energy to last a few years I believe. Very good QPR.

Still young, but certainly with a potential in the low 90s

My last bottle of this vintage. Although there has been some bottle variation, this one was superb. Rich, smooth, balanced, interesting. Might have another couple years in it. Just don't drink it too cold.

Amazingly good for a NY state red, or for any Bordeaux blend from anywhere. Smooth, very balanced. Decanted for about an hour, which helps. Probably getting close to peak, and I'll guess has several more years at least at this level. Highly recommended.

I can see the resemblance to a good quality medium level Barolo. Nice balance. Still on the way up, but very nice now.
