Not as good as previous bottle. Final glass showed improvement but that was only an hour or so after opening. Should have reviewed my previous TN!

Surprisingly heavyweight, I assume lots of new oak. Bright red fruit, oaky spice. Not overly tannic so unsure of the longevity of this.

Still very primary with lots of berry and cherry fruit but depth is there as well. Only moderately tannic so I don't think this is a 20 year wine but a few more years should show improvement.

Exceedingly European. No ripe and sweet fruit in here. Lots of tart cherry and berry along with earth and dark spices.

Unsure if I should rate this 96 or 86. It really comes down to my preference in red wine and this is not exactly it. Mind you, there's no denying this is a high quality wine. This is the color of ink. Massive nose of ripe dark fruit, coffee, and alcohol. A huge but balanced body with dark fruit flavors, berry schnapps, oaky vanilla. Gripping finish.

Comparable to a bottle on 12/24/22. A very good but not a great champagne. I've found the '08 Piper Rare to be superior to this.

A very good wine but not exceptional. Very tannic with pronounced oak. Some dark and red fruit, leather, cedar. Last glass was best with the bottle having been opened for about an hour prior.

High alcohol, high oak, high score! Quite hedonistic and I don't want another bottle the next night but this sure was enjoyable. Deep rich nose of berry and moist earth. Full bodied with moderate acidity and strong tannins. Loads of flavors: dark berry, plum, earth, coffee bean, cocoa. Very good QPR.

We are able to get this for $21USD and I'd consider that very good QPR. Good balance, nice restraint. Some lemon and stone fruit and a small hint of sweetness (caramel).

Very nice with some complexity (and lots of ripe berry fruit). Mint/herbal notes, some earth but overall monolithic. More time?
