Earthy. Not a lot on the nose. Dried red fruit. Some acid on the back palate. Interesting and drinkable.

Half bottle. This is really singing right now. Dark Fruit, gravel on the nose. Just a classic Bordeaux mouthfeel. A little tight on operning, but give it just an hour or so.

A little tight, but showing that blueberry that LM always seems to be have. Not as big as some previous years.

Infanticide. Needs time to develop. Surprising red fruit on the nose. Needed about 1 hour to open up. Plenty of acid for a zin.

Had with BBQ pork ribs. A big whiff of oak immediately after pouring, but that dissipated after a few minutes. This definitely seemed to get better throughout the evening. The black fruit started to show its way, and the tannins were there, but not overwhelming. A little less oak, and this would be in the 90's for me.

Blueberry, blueberry, and more blueberry. Just short of being jammy.

Give it some air, maybe an hour. This is singing right now. I doubt it will improve much as the tannins are soft and the red fruit it there, but does not overpower. Even the alcohol seems subdued, even though this is a powerful pinot. Has a touch of floral, maybe roses on the nose. Seemed to smell like a cool summer night.

Always solid. But, now has come together. Not that tart aftertaste like when it was young. This is a Rose that could use a year (or two?).

Black Fruit. Pow! Hint of tobacco, and easy tannins. Should have bought more of this. The alcohol really settled down over 2 years.

The smack of alcohol in this wine has really faded. Now, it's all tannins and raspberry with a hint of eucalyptus. Excellent. Could easily develop more. Alas, it was my last bottle.

The Maple Zins from this winery are just so good. I don't think they will age much though. Drink 'em up.

Still drinking nicely. Give it some air. I used a Vinturi to help open it up. One more bottle to go. I think this won't be opened for a while.

excellent. A lot of acidity makes it crisp at this point, but does not deter from showing its fruit. Since it was not fermented in oak, but in a clay vessel, one would wonder about it aging. I would guess this will age for at least a couple more years based on the level of acidity to fruit.

This is an excellent sangiovese. Cherry on the nose, but with enough tannin to round things out. This is drinking superbly right now. Pop, wait a half hour or so and pour!

Tannins have softened over the year or so since I had it at the winery. Fruit on the palate, not quite jammy.
