Gold color. Not too citrusy, at times it feels sweet on palate. Pleasant, quite rich. Drink soon

Not convinced by this one, some leather and good fruit, but seemed a bit overripe. There is unbalance in the wine. 90 no more

Decanted 3 hrs. Dark cherries, menthol and spices. High tannins, med to full bodied. Some balsamic notes. Elegant, with a mid-weight personality. This has more years. I only found this a bit odd / muted on the nose

Decanted 2 hrs. Nose of ripe black cherries and cassis. Med-bodied with dense black fruit and still quite firm tannins for its age. Hotter than usual for Pauillac in the aftertaste. Maybe not the most elegant, but a good wine with surely 5 more years to go

30 mins of air to open. Red fruit nose, some earth. Medium bodied, good village with structure, light tannins. I found this with more weight than usual in Morey village

Completely unexpected and out-performed on all fronts. Despite the 2011 reputation, this champagne is fantastic. 50/50 PN and Chard, bottled in 2012 and disgorged in 2018. If you find it for the right price, just buy and drink it even now as this is ready to drink. It already shows some brioche nose but it remains full on palate, with pleasant complexity. Sure this can hold many more years but really good already

Wonderful Pauillac, worth waiting to open the first bottle of my case till now. Held in professional cellar till today, the bottle was in perfect conditions, cork was perfect. The moment you open the bottle to decant (abundant sediment) you smell the wine and you know this is going to be great. Classic mature Pauillac as I love. This was a beauty. Maybe not extremely complex now, but a pleasure to drink. Ready now and will hold for more years if stored properly

Quite light nose. Not really the opulence of the 2005 in this one. Bit austere and restrained. Med-bodied. Not convinced by this one, not sure how far this will go

Disgorged 10 Dec 2018 so probably a 2015 base. Basic champagne, nothing exciting, it is fresh and clean, strong attack but fades quickly. Quite cheap bottle so quality is aligned to price

Intense dark cherry aroma, perfumed cassis and violets scents. Refined, spicy and some oak. The palate is supple on the entry, fleshy and generous with lush red berry fruit, dry, chalky tannins. Minerality that should be enhanced with bottle age. Concentrated premier cru quality. This feels still young and surely has a long life ahead. 91+ with upside

Good champagne, better than expected for the price paid. Brioche touch, fine mousse, lemon, it has good structure but never attacking. So easy to drink

First Priorat of my life. Powerful wine, full of dark cherry and forest fruits on the palate. This reminded me a 2005 Clarendon Hills Brookman Syrah with a bit more old world and surely less "full" than the Australian wine on all aspects. Mature now but can't see why this should not have another 5 years left

An ok bourgogne blanc. Not too expressive on nose, no oak or butter, not a lot of citrus notes. Limited fruit, light minerality. I didn't record the typical Puligny or Chassagne notes others did. What this has is its own structure and identity, but it is not a wine which amazed me at all, even if on the cheap side for the area

30 mins of air before drinking. Earthy, a little smoky, more dark than red fruits. Density is one of a Gevrey 1er cru for sure. Tannins are light now and integrated, showing maturity but still some more years to go. Pleasure to drink now, in a very good spot. A style of Gevrey 1er cru I like, well done Dom Humbert

Too late for this one, not good anymore. Drink same day open, won't last any longer. Perfect provenance, merchant storage since release

What a surprise! Produced in the heart of Colli Orientali del Friuli, north of Venice in Italy. Local grape Picolit. Intense ancient gold. Fruit in syrup with slight hints of mold. Sweet, fat. Honey, raisins. Very persistent, long pleasant finish. Not the most intellectual wine but great enjoyment wine

30 minutes of air. Deep golden yellow. Oak nicely integrated. It has a stony, slightly pithy bouquet with fresh pear and lime flower notes. A light bitterness rounds off the pleasant finish

Moulinet-Lasserre is Clos René and Clos René is Moulinet-Lasserre. They are one and the same (Clos René bottles a small proportion of their production under this label for the negociant J.P. Moueix as an exclusivity).

The wine: nice and gentle Pomerol. Bouquet with aromas of kirsch, leather, incense. The palate has abundance of ripe plummy fruit and raspberries. Very suave claret with mannered tannins. Decent QPR for a good fully mature wine. Enjoy now.

60% Cahrdonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. The "Cuvée Prestige" is a blend of the first "cuvée" juices of chardonnay and pinot noir from several years. A passage in barrels of the reserve wines brings complexity to the aromas and length in the mouth. Finely spicy, well-matured nose: Pinot Noir brings structure and spicy flavours that complete the citrus side of Chardonnay. The "Cuvée Prestige" rests 1 year longer in the cellar compared to the Cuvée Traditionnelle. Easy drinking

This is a superb Barolo. Not exuberant on the nose. Mineral, herbs, elegant floral character and a dense black liquorice finish which goes on for long. Sweet grippy tannins, fully integrated. Mature with more years to go. Really good!

Decanted 2 hours in small decanter. Not too pronounced on the nose, I expected a bit more reading other comments. Fully mature, a light and silky wine on palate, never aggressive. Classic left bank bordeaux with charm. Not too complex, but well made. Tannins integrated. Long finish, a lovely wine

30 minutes of air before drinking (suggested). Gold color. On the nose a little toasty but less than expected. On palate, very much a masculine, rich and full-bodied champagne. Lost of grapefruit and citrus, high acid and in my view a very good food champagne. Drinking very well now, more life ahead for sure. Compared to the PR Vintage Brut this is more of everything. Big personality in the room

Not very experienced Australian Syrah, my first thought was this is an Australian version of Amarone. So powerful, full-bodied, dark, concentrated. Cedar, oak, pepper, cassis and meaty on the nose. I found this quite dense on palate, like creamy or oily. Lots of dark fruits, spicy. High alcohol at almost 15%. Some nice aromas from its age. A nice bottle of wine which I enjoyed

Super rich still which is fantastic for its age, so full and powerful in flavours, but with elegance. Light bubbles and gold colour, it has citrus, grapefruit, yeasty notes. Acidity and sweetness in perfect balance. Grande!

OK bordeaux red. At first this seems very primary still, as no secondary/tertiary are evident. The body is medium to light (light in the world of Bordeaux) and tannins are strong still, so from the nose you might think this is too young and a fruit bomb, but when tasted you change your mind and think potentially the fruit wasn't the greatest in fullness and this has been worked out in the cellar to give some longevity. Not sure this is young at all, yes strong tannins and fruit are present, but the structure and body seem too light for this to have a dense and bright future. About 5 years of life for me from now
