On opening, aromas of cedar, leather, tobacco and cherry. Tasted similarly with almost confected cherry fruit, but slightly disjointed. After 3 hours in the decanter, the fruit retreated to dry cherry and blackberry. Accents of leather and tobacco. Medium acidity. Prominent mouth-coating and drying tannins on the finish. I preferred it right after opening--everything seemed to fade in the decanter except the tannins. Lisa thought this was a 90.

Nose of lemon, peach and sea air. Agree with Brendel--there is a touch of cheese as well. Tastes of lemon and peach fruit. Nice minerality. Medium + acidity. Intensity was only good. 90+ Good match with Germain L'Affine au Chablis cheese (which is a "stinky" cheese).

Pretty pear, peach, lime and green apple fruit. Fair bit of stony minerality. Medium acidity. Creamy mouthfeel. Intensity could be better, but quite enjoyable for the price.

Initially some fairly strong coffee notes. Sweet fig, date, raisin and a touch of citrus fruit. Caramel and cocoa accents. Baking spices. Viscous. Long finish. Minimal tannins. After being opened 3 weeks in refrigerator morphed closer to a tawny port.

Nose was subtle citrus blossom, apple and minerals. Tastes of citrus, peach, pear and pineapple fruit. After fruit passes, fairly prominent minerality with some savory notes like basil and nuts on the finish. Elegant and restrained in character. A little disjointed. Tasted blind with Benovia Three Sister chardonnay 2020--we slightly preferred Three Sisters which had a riper and more luscious fruit profile.

Fairly dark fruit like purple plum and blackberry. Some cocoa and slight green accents and a touch of graphite. Fine drying tannins on the finish. Slightly disjointed and may benefit from another 1-2 years in the cellar. Generally notable for a big, dark and brooding character.

My note may be similar to others--nose of tobacco and dark ripe cabernet fruit. Tastes of blackberry compote and cassis and chocolate-covered plum with medium acidity and tannins which are well-integrated. Brooding and deep with a long elegant finish--as fruit dissipates, I get more tobacco and leather and tannins and cocoa. The fruit was muted on opening, but blossomed after 2 hours in decanter. 93+

Both powerful and elegant. 94 now and possible higher with age. Enjoyed with the family home for Christmas.
