Dark ruby. Continuously evolving nose starting with intense tomato and then ripe fruits like damson plums and dark cherries with sweet spices. Full bodied with soft tannins and noticeable heat. Long finish. Drinking nicely now, yet keeping it further would enhance the tomato element.

Served blind to two wine loving friends (only I knew what it was). Both guessed a 5 years old wine or younger! One was annoyed of the "sweetness of the fruit" as he called it. The other was amazed. As I was. Great richness and depth and incredible aging potential. Could age gracefully for another 15 years or more. Balanced, complex and long. Hedonistic.

This is a stunning red, with a similar character and on par with a top Northern Rhône, despite being made from a different grape. Dark ruby/purple. Fantastic nose with pronounced floral aromas of violets and wild flowers along with spices (black pepper) and mostly dark berries. Almost full-bodied, yet perfectly balanced and elegant with soft tannins, vibrant fruit and bright acidity. Long aftertaste. Drinks nicely already but can age gracefully for another 5 years or more.

Medium straw with green hues. Expressive nose combining the character of a Santorini Assyrtiko (minerality) with that of a mainland Greece Assyrtiko (fruit). Medium to dark garnet. Expressive, complex and elegant nose of barnyard, graphite, cedar, leather and cherries. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and perfect balance. Long aftertaste. Surprisingly good, exceeded my expectations given the reputation of the vintage. At peak right now. Thankfully, lesser vintages reach their peak within a human's life span, unlike great vintages that need ages to get there.

A full antithesis between nose and palate. On the nose it is complex, elegant and attractive with Northern Rhone charm: black pepper, raspberries, violets and aromatic herbs. On the palate though, it is lean and somewhat dilutes with drying tannins and excessively high acidity not balanced by the fruit. Medium aftertaste.
