Very nice rose. It is more dry as I like it. The blend gives a bright and more complex pallet than I am used to in most Rosé. Love it

For my birthday I decided to open up a few 2016 big Bordeaux blends to see where they are. Of course they were all tight, but it was fun to smell and taste what the next 10+ years will have in store! Lots of concentration of fruit and tannins to think about when I stare at the remaining bottles!

After pouring one a month ago, I had to add another 16 Pirouette to the birthday lineup of 16 Crooked Arm, 14 Trine, 16 Figgins. I score based on what I see in the wine, not whether or not it needs more time. For sure the coming years will open up all these blockbusters and I will likely score them the same as the years go by. I will revisit these in another year or 2!

As soon as these delivered, I popped one open and we loved it. Great value at 21 per bottle shipped! Going to try to leave the rest in the cellar a while. Even though they are good now, I suspect they will be better over the next couple years.

This 2016 is still plenty young, but I had to have one for my birthday since I am plenty young as well! It was easy to see that this is a great one and will be more amazing each time I open another down the road. Happy to have 5 more!

I had been dying to try one of these. Finally caved and popped one open. Glad I have more, it’s easy to see the next few years will be rewarded. It’s just tight and even trying to drag my feet we poured it in an under an hour, just didn’t loosen much yet. Til next time.

Yeah it’s not big but it’s a well made cab with good fruit, can’t expect a whole lot more at this price! Just responding to another’s comment about it being thin on fruit.
