Open 3 bottles of this second label Peay Pinot Noir over the last 3 weeks.
I did not decant. It could use about one hour though. I want to watch how this wine evolved. Deep rich color purplish. on the nose Cherry and strawberry with a mild black pepper scents. On the taste the Cherry tones are bold at first then come the spicy tones that I look for from Peay. I does evolve with time and I began to get some strawberry tones as air got o it.. My favorite 2012 Pinot under $40.00. And probably will get better with a little more time.

Just coming into it's own. I decanted it for two hours. Still needed a little more time. But worth the wait! Black fruit with a hint of smoke. Good balance but will probably get better with another year!!
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis).

Beautiful yellow /green tone wine. Nose: pineapple, honey, peach tones. Palate: Honey, pineapple and hint of spiced peach with strong presents of minerals. Wine opened up after an hour so I will decant for an hour next time. Finish: was simple but delightful with a hint of bitter. Great food wine! I served this wine with scallops saute in orange congac with a 4 chesse sauce over pasta.

I usally do not rate my wines but I had to on this wine. No decanting, straight out of the bottle. A Dark red purple color, medium body, on the nose dark chocolate with dark fruits. First sip a lite touch of oak back by a dark cherry and plum tones with a hint of spice and liquorice. Tannis were soft but will improve a little bit more with age, but drinking well now! Silky and smooth going down, no real heat coming from this wine. Just a great wine! If you got it your lucky! This wine is a gem for the price. Should have bought 2 cases instead of the one.

THe Foral and Pums tones we fantastic, and the touch of anisette was perfect! Decanted for an hour. It was one of 5 bottles taken to a BYOB and was the show case wine of the night.

Still young. Needs a couple of years yet! Mediunm body with a drak garnet color. Oakey smell is a little over powering at first, after a couple of hours it tamed down a little and dark fruits start to come out. I will try again in two years. Great value point for this quality wine.

After reading some of the other reports is was not sure what to expect. This wine is NOT the in your face, power house Napa cab. BUT it was a vert pleasant and soft Napa cab. Tanis were well intergrated and smooth going down. It is a dry cab with a medium body with dark fruit over tones. This is a strong 89 point wine but not more then that. But it was what I was looking for late last night to help me relax a little! Perfect wine for that.Or even for a nice veal dish!

Open this wine to go with a nice grillrd sirlon steak and grill fresh veggies! Violets on the nose with dark berry fruit on the palte. A little short on the finish but for the price it is a good wine. Again, it would show even better if I had the time to decant!

Opened and decanted for 1 hour. Nice Blackberry tones with a little leather and earthy tones.
Deep purple in color, Upfront taste was blackcherry and a hint of foral tones. Great fruit but not to chewy and a nice finish. FANTSTIC wine for the price. Should show even better with a 2 hour decant.

Not sure what some people were expecting but if you like a mature Brunello this is it, Beautiful earthy tones with a hint of leather, plum and dark cherry. The fruit was not overpowering but a nice touch just the same. If you are looking for more fruit you waited to long. Served with home made pasta in a red sauce and it was just outstanding.

Decanted for two hours, one would have been enough. Dark purple in color nice earthy tones but ruit was there but just there. Not what I was looking for in a 2005 Bordeaux. Short on the finsh but it was smoothe just the same. Personaly if this was a $15.00 bottle of wine I would be ok with it but at $35.00 no way. I have one more bottle and will drink it soon just ot get it out of my celllar.

The Shingleback 2005 Estate Shiraz was decanted for 2 hours then served with Grilled pork tenderlions and was outstands, ripe nose of licorice, chocolate, nutmeg and ripe blackberry, with good long lasting well mixed red and black fruit on the palate, good acidity, fine-grained tannins and a lengthy finish. Just an outstanding wine.

Nice Brunello, searved at a dinner party New Years Eve. Decanted for two hours. Beautiful dark fruit and Chocolate, wit ha hint of coffee, Oak was a little heavey for my taste but my friends loved it. So I avarage the score between them and myself and came up with 93 points.
