Pnp. Good body and melange of flavor, but lots of oak, very round and flabby, lacking acidity on the finish. Hopefully just needs more time.
White - Off-dry

PnP. Fully ripe fruit with a solid acid backbone. Well balanced, this works equally well for sipping and with food. Not overly complex, but showing nice maturity and supremely drinkable.

PnP. Truly stunning. Precision and depth. Tons of purple fruit and spice with layers of interest. A wine for the cellar, but very enjoyable right now. WOTN by far. Sadly unobtainable at this point.

Double decant. So much muscularity and power right out of the gate. Brawny nose with deep black fruit and a touch of spice. Depth of flavor on the palate that lingers and deepens over time in the glass. This was clearly WOTF with the '99s as it gathered more air and broadened.

Opened 2 hours before. Very tight and unyielding at first. Developed an incredible body and mouse with air. Strawberry, raspberry juice and fruit with some brioche and lees notes that stood up to some great food.

PnP. I'm not sure about this wine or the other TNs. Lots of oak. Normally doesn't bother me, as it's young, but under the vanilla there wasn't much else. Little body, little flavor. Very watery and limp. Nice village wine or low end 1er at best. Decently drinkable and that's about it. Very disappointing.

Quick decant. Wonderful spices on the nose. Palate is deep and full with cardamom and black pepper. Ultra smooth finish. This is just barely getting into the drinking window.

Jungsik: Opened 4 hours before pouring. Amazing honey and butterscotch on the nose. Very precise palate that is balanced and not overly sweet. Changes quickly over time like a chameleon. Some interesting herbal and spice notes add complexity.

Jungsik: PnP. Needed air to start to shine. Round and full nose with a nice creamy palate. Acid is in balance. More subtle and delicate than the powerful Cristal beside it.

Jungsik: Decanted a couple of hours before pouring. Deep purple color with dark fruit on the floral nose and some stem, grassy notes on the nose. Benefited from even more air in the glass to open and integrate. Palate was full of black fruit and some minerality with just a touch of a clipped finish.

Jungsik: Decanted a couple of hours before pouring. Wide open nose with black fruit, violets and a meatiness. Palate is less open, but still drinking nicely with black and purple fruits, a touch of iron. The finish is the indicator of the vintage with firm tannins. This is just starting to reach a nice drinking window, much more open than just a couple of years ago, but will need another 8+ years to reach the initial peak plateau.

Jungsik: Opened 2 hours before dinner, but 4 would have been better. Chiseled and taut at first this continued to open up throughout the evening with citrus zest, marzipan, toast points and a creamy mousse. Stellar.

Jungsik: Decanted for an hour. Initially reductive which did start to blow off in the first hour. By the end of the night this was absolutely creamy and unctuous while maintaining great tension and balance. Nose was soaring from the glass with white fruit and minerality. Felt on par with many a Monty, but with a steely verve. Best after 4-5 hours. WOTN for me.

Decanted for an hour. Absolutely stunning. Bursting from the glass with white fruit and a hint of mushroom. Perfectly balanced bright fruit and acid. Added even more weight and depth over time. Grand Cru weight and density and finish. Spectacular.

Decanted and rested for 2 hours. When poured was right in the zone. Floral nose, bursting with mature purple fruit. Beguiling nose that brings you back over and over. Palate has great, GC weight and fully integrated fruit and spice. Doesn't touch the heights of the best like Roumier, but can't complain for the price point.

Double decanted and rested for a couple of hours. Blossomed with air to reveal amazing white flowers and lemon zest framed by vanilla oak. Continued to improve with air, getting better than better. Paired beautifully with a baked brie, arugula salad with cardamom vinaigrette.

Open early and let rest for about 2 hours. Really started to shine with air. Amazing mousse with bright brioche nose and full and lingering finish. Showing on point tonight and right up there with the best of them.

Quick decant. Bottled under very high quality natural cork. Wide open and ready for business out of the gate. Quite reserved nose at this point, a hint of lovely fruit and spice, but the palate is inviting and full. Good depth with perfectly ripe fruit and Vosne spice and an incredibly smooth finish. Not terribly complex, but a wonderful drink and the bottle lasted much shorter than anticipated. Very glad to have gone deep on this cuvée.

Decant. Wonderful nose, but a bit astringent. Tart palate with a rather clipped finish. Really needs air to start to show some balance and put on some weight. At the end it's quite enjoyable, but it still doesn't have the weight of the top vintages or producers.

Decant. Great balance of ripe white fruit with a nice mineral note and good acidity. Not searing as some prefer, but right on point. Great weight and body. Finish goes on and on. Great drink currently. I think the '18s are developing nicely in the past 2 years and are really drinking beautifully now and for the next several years.

Decant. Minimal sediment. Bursting from the glass with bright red fruit, spices and a touch of iodine. Palate has good weight and balanced fruit with an acid core. Supremely drinkable right now with upside, but already showing some fun secondary notes. The wife liked this more than half the Tâches we had last month. Wish I had more than a couple left...

PnP. Deep and dark. Surprised to see such depth from a CM red even in this vintage. There's good material here and nice length. This is a serious wine, but really enjoyable with some air thanks to the terroir. Could become something special in a couple or three years.

Decant. Nose is a bit skunky at first. Blows off and loosens with some air. Menthol and licorice with a touch of red fruit and floral notes. Palate is light, but flavorful. Minimal tannins. Smooth finish. Paired beautifully with Alba white truffle risotto.

PnP. Nice legs! Really coats the glass. Initial nose is plastic like new toys. Who doesn't love new toys? Not quite as fresh as the new car smell, unfortunately.

Palate is watery, completely unlike the viscosity in the glass. It's disjointed, overly sweet and seems to be a created drink rather than naturally produced, almost soft drink like. Then you are left with a bitter finish that lingers for minutes.

Just as DWSTYLE, cork was nearly completely soaked and there was wine in the capsule. At first I thought it was Coravin'd, but no pierce through the capsule. Just a very poor cork it seems. Decanted, but wine wasn't very bright or fresh. Tasted much older than it was, but still drinking surprisingly well at this point.
