Adequate nose, medium body and shortish finish. Balanced and was nice with a lighter red sauce over pasta and mushrooms. Will probably drink the rest this year.

Lighter body than our preferred style. Almost rose in color. Maybe a reasonable picnic wine.

Medium body , medium finish. Decent quaff but better after being open half an hour or more. Good value for a midweek bottle or after the palate is done.

Nice easy drinking. I would not have guessed it was Cabernet Franc - but that is a good thing from my perspective.

A food wine. Paired well with a chicken polenta stew, but was not enjoyable by itself.

This vintage had a strong smoke flavor which wasn’t present in other vintages and we didn’t care for.

Not good circumstances to judge fairly , but will probably get some more to keep longer .

Off nose upon opening which dissipated within 10 minutes or so. Some funky nose remained as long as bottle lasted. Medium big body, nice finish which wasn’t long enough. Nice with our steaks. Probably should drink the rest of my stock within the next couple years.

Was surprised after reading the other reviews. We did not recognize it as a zin rather seemed like a generic table wine. No off smells or flavors, but nothing distinctive either. A CA zin beside it reassured us our nose and taste buds were still working.

Having a glass from a newly opened bottle at the L’Ecole Heritage tasting room. Slightly lighter in body to the same vintage Apogee and seems like lower acid, but tannins are becoming more evident the longer we sit here. Medium finish. Probably a decent match for roasted pork with seasoning or pan sauce.

Having just a glass of a newly opened bottle at the Heritage tasting room. Outdoor with a breeze so hard to nose. Medium to full body, still has some significant tannins. Decent finish. Begs for a steak. Probably has a few years to peak and will probably last another 7-10 years.
