- Brick color with medium forming legs and aromas of violet. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Wow! I have had three of these in my cellar for quite a few years. I decided to cork one tonight and am blown away. I am enjoying the last few swigs of the bottle as I type this. I am a huge Napa cab fan and this wine holds up beautifully. Was wonderful upon opening (slightly hot), but opened up beautifully over a five hour period. Wonderful nose and was even better on the palate. I am sooo glad that I have two more left in the cellar. Will probably open the remaining bottles in a few years and see how much more they can improve with a few more years in the bottle. Absolutely wonderful wine right now!

- Garnet color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a light/medium body. Leathery texture with a medium finish - Not sure why there are so many low scores/bad reviews. This is a great daily drinker that has aged well. Easy drinking, classic Italian wine.

- Purple color with medium forming legs and aromas of alcohol and black pepper. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of alcohol, vanilla, oak and black pepper with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish - A bit hot at first. Mellowed out after 1-2 hours of air. Might be better served with a few more years in the cellar. Definitely not my favorite Orin Swift wine.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of black currant. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black currant, blackberry and cherry with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a medium finish - Have had a few bottles in the cellar for a number of years. Based on some earlier reviews, I decided to give them a little more time in the bottle. Disregard the drinking window displayed. Here we are, three years after the "community recommended" drinking window, and the wine is showing beautifully. Popped and poured first night (gave it 30 or so minutes of air in the glass). Classic Italian nose, aromas of beautiful berry fruit and long, skinny legs with a few swirls of the glass. Not harsh or hot at all as some earlier reviews suggested. Showing very well. The wife and I finished the bottle on night two. It had really come alive at this point. Very good super Tuscan with lots of sediment towards the end. Would recommend filtering the bottom part of the bottle to avoid the grittiness you will get with a mouthful of the sediment. Overall, very pleased with the quality/price.

- Violet color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry, raspberry and black currant. It's somewhat balanced with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Beautiful Rhone wine. Best if left to open up 1-2 hours before drinking. Soft mouthful and light, not a powerhouse by any stretch. Skinny legs, subtle red berry flavors and very easy drinking. Enjoyed with bread/ olive oil/ spices and meat / cheese plate w/ a decadent tiramisu dessert. Can stand well on its own without food. Great for any time of year. Will not be a long-lasting cellar item. I would recommend enjoying over the next 1-3 years.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry, raspberry and black currant. It's in total harmony with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Opened at a Christmas gathering with friends at a local restaurant. Absolutely incredible! Perfectly aged. Has always been one of my favorite wines. Soft tannins, beautiful fruit, lasting finish. Bursting with red berries with a soft mouthful. Couldn't go wrong with virtually any pairing.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry and black currant and has flavours of black currant, blackberry and black pepper with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish - Wife and I enjoyed with dinner over two nights. First night was excellent straight from the bottle. Nice fruit, not too hot. Pleasant wine that we both enjoyed. Softened up on second night and the rest was gone before we knew it. I am very glad I have 5 more bottles in the cellar!

- Brick color with medium forming legs and aromas of black currant and has flavours of black pepper - Opened with an Italian dinner the other night. Well-aged, balanced. Lots of sediment. Slightly hot at first, mellowed nicely over course of dinner. Nice fruit, complimented dinner well. I think there are much better wines for he price (based on my palate). Would not hesitate to buy another bottle at a discounted price.

This wine has really changed since my previous notes a few years ago. Wine was very earthy, lots of pine. Loaded with tannins and finish lingers for a long time. I prefer more fruit, this wine was completely dominated by its earthiness. Wife did not enjoy (more for me!).

Very, Very young. Not much substance. Opened up over an hour or two. Tasted like a Itailian restaurant house chianti. I will give this a few more years and see what develops. Not bad for the price, definititely better juice out there though.
