Truly outstanding. I have been enjoying this wine for several years now, and admit to opening it with a little reservation being that it is 2015 and an 08 wine. Stunning! Drinking beautifully .

Light and thin on its own. Shines in food paring. Had with House-made fettuccine, white truffle, parmesan, chives - gorgeous.

Good by cellar tracker scale (80-84) =good
On the thinner lighter side. Well integrated, soft dryness, light in texture and flavor. Tasted better younger. I probably kept this beyond its best drinking window.

Excellent 2.3 residual sugar off-dry Riesling. Sweet on entry moving to dry on finish. Good depth of complexity. Full, rich yet refreshing Excellent wine winning golds in both 2012 and 2013.

Excellent description by christophee on 1/28/2012 and I concur although for my pallet I find it to have excellent structure and complexity and may have noted this as the wine has had an additional 18 mths since the posting by christophee. Excellent citrusy lemon bite and high tones with a lovely oily mouth feel and long finish with very well balanced oak; gorgeous.

Gorgeous full bodied, rich SB. Much bigger than many SB but oh so lovely if you like a SB on the heavier rich softer side... (0 views)

What a lovely surprise; aging has done its magic. Blackberry on the nose, still get the alcohol 'hit' on the nose but not in the taste. Slightly dry, smooth, full, almost silky but with that subtle dry 'tut' (hmm how to describe tut-its a tongue thing?) a hint of smoke, lovely blackberry and no jammy here; very well integrated food friendly - a really lovely balanced Zin. Oh the challenges of having the talent to disguise this 'end result' in the early days so one could buy more-I continue to 'wish' :)

Drank one a few months ago and it was heaven; this one last night showed its age and had sadly passed its drinking window. Stored the same so surprised.

I thought this might be past its time but no; still drinking lovely. Still deep and rich in color, soft & plush on the pallet and a lovely smooth round cab. Excellent QPR

Ditto to DaveZacK review, and at the QPR(club member price) hard to beat for a balanced delicious cab. I admit to being pleasantly surprised. A great mid week cab! As cabs go, in the full spectrum, 85. Re QPR 89!

Super floral bouquet, fruity, medium body, absolutely delicious. Wish I had a lot more! Oh well; will try the 2009 on Friday. To date I have never been disappointed with Matt's Paring offerings; great QPR from a great wine maker.

A beautiful mineral acidity floating just above a rich lemon creme brulee! Your classic rich chardonnay with bite and depth, drinking beautifully right now. Well done Dierberg and thank you! More please...

Stunning; this is drinking beautifully and showed no signs of being on its way out as some have experienced. Day two drinking just as well! Smooth, deep, rich; an excellent bottle of wine, wish I had more.

flawed - must have been exposed to heat before reaching my cellar as purchased in store as a fiz and bitter tang; undrinkable. Sad first flawed Foxen!

'Onelastsyrah' captured my impression with "Light golden appearance. High toned lemon apricot nose, similar attack. This wine is rather pinched on the palate - it gives up lean lemony apricot and minerals." Iwould add lush, viscous, and that this high tone clean expression of Viognier makes a nice addition to the frequent richer heavier expressions of this varietal making it super with food. Lovely.

Big and hearty syrah. Thick, dry, pepper is there and lots of blackberry. High alcohol hits you when first opened but let it breath a little and all is well. I image this would be great with a heaty steak. Big abd heavy but very good. I will be interested in

Tanzer 90 - wow this is the first time I can say I clearly do not understand what was seen here. This was my second visit to this wine and for me still undrinkable. The blend for me just does not work. Unbalanced. bitter and it deteriates further after a few hours. Purchased Nov 2009 and been in the cellar since and no improvement over the last bottle. Rare a bottle is abandoned but alas... clearly just not my cup of tea nor that of my guest! Still always fun to try something 'different'.

Excellent Viognier. Rich, round, slight honey but lacking the complexity and finesse of the Jaffrus 07 viognier. For my palet the 07 is exceptional but his bottle of 06 is dtill very enjoyable.

96 yes. Extrondinary. Absolutly lovely! Big rich gorgeous chardonnay. Has now matured and rounded out and drinking beautifully. 18 mths ago although lovely a little sweet and high alcohol. Now so rounded, truffles (odd perhaps but stogonoff came to mind but it works beautifully), cream, thick, strong deep golden yellow - pure necter and a finish that goes on for ever leaving you wanting more! Thank you Chris!

Gorgeous. Needs to breath for a while as alcohol on opening was a bit overwhelming. Milk chocolate, vanilla, lots of rich dark berries, luscious. Lovely to drink now and best of all improved over the next couple of days as the alcohol aroma disappeared yet all the wonderful flavors stayed full intact. Off to buy more and will hold a few for a few years too.

Excellent! Great value, full flavor, great bubbles, lovely balance of freashness and gentle acidity and lovely strawberry notes. I prefer this over many Rose's tasted this month including a number of Rose Champagnes in the $70 to $90 range!

Extraordinary and just lovely! I would never have guessed I could drink several glasses of Sauternes based on experience todate - but wow here I could (and almost did) drink a full bottle! Lovely pineapple flavor with balance, freshness, complexity and with some lovely acidity making for an amazingly elegant and delicious wine. Has to be one of my all time favorite wines. Served with delicious hor d'oeuvres .

I love champagnes and used to enjoy this one very much. Purchased Nov 2008 and has been in my wine cellar since. Disapointing! Bland, pretty color and nice bubbles but a little acidic in taste with very little flavor. Day two a little more flavor came forth but still very bland and un interesting. Poor QPR with all the fabulous 'grower' champanges now available (drank a Pierre Morlet 1999 a few nights earlier - wow - just lovely.

Disappointing. Loved the 2004 (one of my all time favorites) and in general love Foxen wines. To me this tasted as a heavy wine; very dark, tannic, minerals, not much fruit taste or brightness - disappointing. Did not improve over a couple of hours. Did drink from lovely burgandy glass; oh well certainly not a QPR. Sadly I wasn't even motivated to finish the bottle and my guest agreed! A first with a Foxen!

Very baked black berry zinny Zin! However does taste like wine as opposed to just jammy black fruit/candied fruit as found in many Zins. I did notice the high alcohol (as confirmed after by looking at the label). Good 'legs'. rounded, soft and just the righ amount of 'sweetness' for a nice Zin. With regard to my laypersons pallet this is certinly a good Zin and a pleasant fruity full bodied wine but I felt it had no outstanding nuances or interest to class it as a 'special' or 'reccommended' Zin or a wine I would seek out again. (I prefer/look for something a little more 'interesting' in a good Zin. 84 may appear low but I am going by the cellar tracker guideline of 'Good'...as opposed to 85+ very good...).

Very interesting; with the body/mouth feel of a lush full bodied rich chard or viongier, great legs, yet the taste of a zesty high tone lemon bite tropical tones typical of a Sauvangon Blanc with no green - a lovely wine! Stands alone or 'pair' with food as the winemaker intended. A winner from a wine maker with a core following for his 'Jonata' label. Great QPR; Off to buy more!

Tastes like fresh black berries and grapes pressed and popped straight into the bottle! Rich, soft, jammy - who'd guess this contained alcohol!

Wow - what a delicious bottle of wine. I forgot to take detailed tasting notes but I can assure you this is drinking beautifully now, rich, plush, heaven! Dark berrys, very subtle tannins, my only 2001 but would certainly buy again next time Foxen release a few more.

pts 70. IMO far too sweet for a table wine - to the degree that I did not drink it (and I love viogniers, rich chards...). Reminded me of marmalade without the 'bite'. Would not buy again. Very disappointing.

A rich big chardonnay but perhaps I opened it too soon: very distinct high tone note of lemon zest (layperson speaking here) that over shadowed the other lovely characterisits of this wine. Perhaps will mellow and balance out given more time?
