Very rustic wine, all earth, leather, smoke. Bit of mousiness and a lot of bret. I had a glass last evening and then put it in the fridge, poured another glass today and this was really undrinkable.

The acid comes across as quite harsh and makes it difficult to drink/enjoy.

Pale ruby, some reductive match stick on the nose with strawberries in the background. Red fruit is very prominent and then some smoke and wood. Fine grained tannins. Medium finish. Really delicious.

This was pretty tight when we first opened it but after an hour it’s excellent. I love these wines.

These wines bring me joy.

Drinking well now but obviously a long life ahead. Beautiful nose of light strawberries and flowers. Palate is still primary with secondary notes starting, strawberry with orange in the background. Medium bodied with good structure. Fine tannins, long finish.

Translucent, pale ruby. Light bodied with very nice structure. Darker red fruit, earth and truffles. There is a little bit of meatiness in there. A little VA. Medium finish, slightly bitter. Fine grained tannins.

This is a really nice wine. It’s drinking great now and still has a good life ahead of it. Nose is really elegant; sandalwood and light red fruits. Light bodied, nicely structured, red fruits. Chalky tannins and a long finish of tart strawberries, slightly bitter on the end.

I am really impressed with Lucien Boillot. These wines are great value.

Aligote is still a rather unknown varietal to me, and after this bottle I’ll be hunting for more.

High acid, saline, and delicate flowers. I would love to sit outside a bistro, enjoy the setting sun and drink this alongside oysters

This might have been slightly heat damaged, some dried fruit type notes when first opened. This wine is fairly rustic, some cherry and earth notes

Alcohol on the finish really sticks out to me.

This is in an amazing place right now. Fruit is very present; strawberries and black cherries, soil, mushroom, black tea, and a slight touchy of savory gaminess. The nose is all strawberry and a light touch of spring flowers.

Nose of citrus blossom and flowers, on the palate primarily lemon, saline minerality, oyster shell. Very well balanced with a bright acidity, medium bodied. Medium finish.

Great producer and great vineyard.

I do not get any of the "funkiness" described in the Jancis Robinson tasting note.

A lot of Brett here. Some mild effervescence when first opened that faded after a few minutes.

Opened a bottle to check in on this, should wait another year to check in again.

Very elegant wine, violets and raspberries are the primary notes with some earth in the background. Silky tannins.

I like this wine a lot and think it will age well.

Nose has a very beautiful umami sense. Ripe strawberries , crushed flowers and some spice. Taste is dominated by red fruits ( tart cranberries and some strawberry ). Good acidity. A very elegant wine.

I’m new to Ceritas and are trying these wines too early but am very impressed.

An elegant Oregon pinot. Needs some time to open up, initially some funk that blows off after a decant. I enjoyed it. My wife commented that she at first thought it had a nose of crab, which is odd but after an hour that was gone and you get predominantly cherry with some earth.

Wow! I very much enjoyed this.

Medium ruby. Day one had a faint hint of bret/barnyard funk but in a very good way. Black cherry, crushed flowers, black tea, spice. Day two the funk had diminished, black cherry dominant. Full bodied. Long finish.

This is excellent Grenache. It has a very similar note to Horsepower but not nearly as overwhelming and much more drinkable. The two most prominent notes I think are meat and roses.

Crushed flowers, roses, smoke, earth, meat, blood sausage.

Very much enjoyed. A very elegant wine.

Green pepper notes typical of cab franc present but much more of red fruit, earth, smoke and anise. When first decanted it was very funky, after an hour it mellowed out and was much more elegant. Long finish.

Big fan of Guiberteau.

Deep ruby. Nose is definitely earth. Starts off uber funky but blows off a bit and mellows out after an hour or so decanting. Predominant tastes of earth but secondary is dark red fruits, tobacco, some smoke, flowers.

My last bottle, will be looking for more.

Drank alongside some bbq ribs, great pairing. The nose of this definitely has that Smokey bbq touch.

Jammy but not too mmuch of a fruit bomb for me. Nice finish with some earth/graphite.

Great value.
