No formal notes but I remember an elegant Pegau much in 2011 style.

Generally I experience that middle vintages from traditionally hotter regions are very elegant and balanced these years

Fine mature stuff.. Ripe red fruits mixed with spicy elements. Well balanced on the palate, some tannin to match the ripe fruit.
Drink now - 2015

Den Blinde Hane#7 (Hos Leif): D2h. Dark red, red rim, 5.5. Thight bouquet of forest floor and pencil. Elegant palate, fine tannins. Wait 5 years.

In fact it was tasted blind together with some friends without any food.

Den Blinde Hane#6 (Hos Lars T): Very pale red, 2, in fact the least coloured red I have had. Pure fruit, strawberries as well as some spicy stuff behind. Harmonious palate ending with some character giving tannin. Drink now I suppose.

PnP. Ok, but not memorable. Drink now

2/26/16, 3:03 PM - Well, of course it's a matter of preference. I fully agree on the minerality part. However, that said I think it lacks character and complexity. I don't know the wine from prior experience so maybe it will gain weight in the next year or two but I doubt it. Let's see :-)

3/13/16, 2:25 PM - That's how it should be - individual preferences can't be discussed. Congrats with your experience today.

PnD. Brick red, yellow rim, 4.5. Classic generous complex bouquet, spicy oriental stuff, pencil. Very finely balanced harmonious palate. some tannin, long elegant finish. Drink now or wait. This is a joy to drink, thanks Morten.

    3/1/15, 8:34 AM - Hi Cantenac-Brown
Now it is some time since I tasted the wine so it is a little difficult to remember. But in my experience this type of well balanced Bdx can hold many years from now although it is fully mature now. Of course it will fade gradually but I am sure it will not be dead even in 20 years time from now.
    Good luck with it

D20min. Garnet red, yellow rim, 5. Perfectly mature complex ripe bouquet, intense red berries, garrigue, farmyard....
Harmonious intense palate, fully resolved tannins, tobacco in the finish. Drink now onwards. What a surprise, this outshone the 2001 on the day!

    1/18/15, 1:49 AM - Hi Harley1199,
If your bottle is in good condition like the ones I have tasted the last two years you can expect a wonderful experience. However, why not enjoy it now when you know it is peaking?
    Cheers

PnD. Brick red, yellow rim, 5. Generous mature bouquet, sweet red fruits, garrigue, intense, complex. Harmonious balanced, intense palate, some tannin, long finish. Drink now or wait. Thanks Britt

    12/6/13, 1:47 PM - Hi Harley1199,
It is drinking fine now, but in my experience VT requires quite long time to really show it's potential. So I am convinced that the wine will develop at least ten years from now. Of course the fruit decreases in flavour of tertiary stuff. Personally I love it.

Double decanted and poured. Garnet red, yellow rim, 4,5. Open mature classic right bank bouquet, complex, sweetness. Totally harmonious on the palate, perfect balance between tannin, acid and fruit, elegant and with finesse. Long finish. Not a top St.Emilion but it is perfect right now but will hold for at least five years.
