I have never seen such a disparity from critics scores to my palate. Nice $50 chardonnay--at best

Decanted 2 hours. Beautiful fruit. Still fresh. Tasted 10 years younger. Drink now thru 2030 (BTW I have had a couple of badly corked bottles of this wine). This bottle was pristine

Great structure. I agree with a prior note that it is more of a food wine. Should be good for awhile

I used to love this cuvee. The 1990 was a stunning wine. Having said that this wine is just much sweeter than I remember the older vintages. Nice but not my style even though the rose petal/lychee nose is still awesome

Purchased recently from a well known retailer. 1.5 hour decant. Fruit was good but lacked the freshness I like in CDP. No way the bottle I tasted was upper 90s

Underlying material was excellent. The reduction in this bottles was off-putting even after a 1 hour decant. Without the reduction I had in my bottle it would be 94 points at a minimum

I used to love this wine. My last two bottles finished with more sweetness than crispness.

Old school left bank Bordeaux. Structure but the fruit is a bit lacking. So many better 1996 left bank wines

Way too young--needs five years. It will be very special eventually. Tonight it was very nice after 2 hours in a decanter. Most of that time it was still very primary

Sometimes I love these but not tonight. Alcohol was over the top and it was harsh and unbalanced. 15.3% did not work tonight

Very pretty on the front end after an hour decant. I wanted to give it a higher score but the finish was short for me. We drank half of the 750 and will drink the rest tomorrow

Decanted for 3 hours. After 1 hour--marginal. By the third hour it had a beautiful nose but for the price point I would go Bordeaux

Decanted. Rust color. 3.5 hours later a beautiful wine. At hour 2--ok at best.
These darn wines take forever to open in my experience but when they do they are compelling--as this turned out to be.

Drank side by side with the 2005 Finca Dofi. A more balanced wine than Finca Dofi IMO. Finca Dofi needed food

Bought as a future and stored in a cold cellar. First of six. I really liked the fruit on this wine. More depth to it than I expected based on the reviews. Drink now - 2025 for the pristine fruit

Drinking really well. Color was good. Just a hint of honey. Acidity was still evident. Had it with Stone Crab Claws. superb match. Glad My first bottle was a good one. I will drink the rest over the next 12 months
