This might be just past its prime, but it is still very good and interesting. The orange rim still surrounds a fairly dense and deep centre. The nose is much more discreet than before with mostly leather and pepper. The palate has also evolved to loose most of its fruit, but is still complex enough to sustain interest, though this is now strictly a food wine. The finish is still impressive with still gripping tannins and good acidity. This is a very impressive wine and I'm curious to see how it will fade from now on.
